.:The Power Chambers:.
Light flickered from nowhere in the bottom of the castle, orange bounced off of old stone and shown brightly in the eyes of the small army of destruction.

"Right this way masters." The soft voice of Cadylle, the eldest of the three snake sisters, spoke. She extended her green-scaled hand, more light appearing along the lengthy corridor, roaring torches spitting burning embers of wood to the stone ground below.

The six students walked slowly, entranced by something, down the hall, their eyes distant and unblinking.

Large double doors appeared in front of them after a small walk, doors that were braced by large iron bars, doors that pushed themselves open with little noise and a lot of dust.

Cadylle continued through the doors, her bare feet making small slapping noises against the smooth floor, her hands folded and resting on base of her back, long thin and semi-transparent black material that was her skirt, slipped across the floor with her tall slender scaled body.

With a snap of her thin fingers more flames burst to life on the large torches that decorated the higher part of the black brick walls of the large room, illuminating the dangerous content it stored.

The floor remained as it was, slick and black spanning the impressive width and length of the room, along the brick walls, blades of all shapes and sizes lined the them, sitting innocently in cradles the catered to their particular hilt or hold, the steel of the blades flickering maliciously in the orange flame the danced around.

A soft swishing sound started as Cadylle stepped forward, training devices being activated by her movement, large spiked balls on ropes that were attached to tall wooden stakes, spun round and round, creating a danger zone for anyone who dared step too close.

Dead in the center of the massive training room, a large outlined circle filled with flattened sand sat patiently waiting for something, long bamboo torches perched in the sand surrounding it, showing it off to be some kind of battle Arena. Further down the room, ten large glowing white orbs loomed about, flying together in an intricate pattern, sending surges of energy through each other at certain points in time and location.

Behind them, seven braced doors sat, all but the one in the center unmarked, that one, made of rippling water like magical material, had a symbol on it. A symbol that meant in a very old very unearthly language.

Demon's Lair.

"Masters this is your power chamber. In it will be everything you need to prepare for our battle." Cadylle smiled slightly and paced a little before speaking again. "The doors beyond the magical orbs all seal of something that can weaken you if they try hard enough. Please let me know when you wish to enter, there is a special incantation on each door and you will not be happy if you try and get it without it." The snake woman said slyly as if she really didn't want to tell them at all. "The middle door is a creatures chamber, you must also inform me when you wish to go in there as well. There are special instructions, which summon the creatures, and I will need to inform you on how. Now I leave you be. Enjoy yourselves masters, and prepare well."

Cadylle's hand lifted slowly in front of her and swiped down slowly, a thin line appeared in the air and peeled open, lime light pouring from the gaping hole in time, she stepped through slowly, her a red eye winking at the lot before she disappeared completely, the thin air in front of her appearing as if it hadn't been touched at all.

((Okay, as she said, have fun, and also, as Cadylle said, inform her when you want to use one of those rooms, just put an OOC in a post heading towards the doors or sommat....yeah. Train as often as you like, in about a week; we are going to blow things up. *Cackles madly and wanders off*))

Re: .:The Power Chambers:.
Peregrin stepped into this room closely following the snake like woman that led them, eyes still blazing their irrational hatred of all that moved or spoke, all that lived, all that was created, intense white inferno's they travelled across the room, absoring the details they could find, golden face splitting as the woman spoke, a feral grin growing in anticipation of what was to come.

His Black silk suit still worn with neatly perfect precision, idly holding another lit cigarette and slowly puffing with a languid ease. Ashing the cigarette, his head and gfaze locked on the ten spinning poles, their many offshooting 'limbs' and dangers spinning about them. The grin on his face twisting features, eyes slitting slightly as an idea came to mind, orange light of the torches gliding over hard golden features. Turning his head slightly toward Ryleigh, the one being for whom his eyes flickered and dulled slightly, his love for her still with him.

"Play time..." he muttered, bending his knees and flicking his cigarette off to one side, away from Ryleigh but not exactly caring where exactly it went aside from that. Leaping forward and launching himself across the room, into a full sprint within strides. Right hand flicking out, a long, thin whip of solid flame bursting from his grip, lashing out across the room with a simple flick of his wrist and forearm. The end hitting and wrapping around the hilt of a weapon, instinctively selected, a simply constructed, perfectly forged scimitar. Flaming whip lashing through the air, firelight dancing across black stone of the training room, carrying its cargo back to him, fingers curling around the leather bound hilt, just as he reached the first pole.

Metal edge striking the first bar, sending the post spinning, its powers activated, body turned slightly from his powerful blow, right leg snapping up close to his body and slamming back booted foot snapping backwards, connecting to the swinging striking arm of the 'gauntlet'. Foot landing again and not sparing a moment, knees thrusting up and body twisting in the air, launching himself up and over the next striking arm of the gauntlet in a tight roll, careful to avoid the spiked ball spinning around the top of the post. Rolling between the two obstacles and hitting the ground, landing in the next row, the middle of four, scimitar lashing out and connecting to an inactive post, foot slamming again into another post, the fourth automatically becoming active his left hand snapped at it, palm open, and conecting hard to the wood. A flash of heat and power blasting out from his flesh, explosive force blasting the post into splinters, flames consuming the remnants rapidly, incinerating the wood. Scimitar slashing around and behind, spinning on his heel and driving the first posts attack back and away from him.

A blur of fire, metal and black silk striking and battering back the attacks of the post, intent and focussed, training and re learning what his mind told his body it was capable of...

((er..yeah *shakes head and shuffles off to go sheepy time or sommat* thingee))

Re: .:The Power Chambers:.
Loki followed Peregrin's fluent movements with deadly concentration. From the way he wielded the scimitar to the heaving of his chest, she watched with a kind of admiration she never would show.

She imagined what she could do with that scimitar, she would slice her victim's neck and watch the blood curl and dance lovingly around the prey's neck, and she would wash herself in it until her hair glistened blood red.

But she couldn't. In any confrontation she relied on her nimbleness and her magic to get her through. Though good with a bow, it took her weeks to get accustomed to different set-ups.

She waited until an appropriate interval in Peregrin's regime and applauded, her face contorting into an almost sarcastic grin. "Nice very.....nice."

((What...the hell...am I doing...))

*Gray eyes refusing ot lock themselves on any true object or person in the room, Lyddie watches the Fire Elementalist take the first round in the room, enviyng his skill with the scimitar, the grace he used to move throughout the gauntlet and other obstacles of the room. If she had that grace, she did not know, but Lyddie knew it would be impossible to mimick his moves in any sort of way. She didn't like knowing that, either. What did she see Peregrin as...an Enemy. Whether he was going to help her bring down Tomal Saichairi for herself and for Aseri or not, he was still the enemy. And as she watched, a foot covered to the knee by laced, black combat boots stepped out onto the cigarette that had been thrown aside, digging it into the ground. For a moment her eyes browsed the walls, making mental notes of possible selection. She took notice of the pit in the center of the room, like an arena, and knew what she was going to start with. Head turning curiously over to face Victor Lyddie grinned slightly, raising one eyebrow.*

"Getting any ideas, dear?" *she crooned, eyes flickering to the arena for a split-second.*

Re: .:The Power Chambers:.
Victor had watched Peregrin with interest, but also with digust. He envied Peregrin's skill with weapons, Victor had trained with a sword but he still wasn't Peregrin or Eclipse's equal in that area. Perhaps that is why Victor had always focused more on his powers. Perhaps it was that small part of him, now increased becuase of the spell cast on the group, that wanted him to accel in some area over the other two. It was human nature, to want to be better than others, and right now, this nature was overtaking Victor.

He nodded at Lyddie's statement, walking over to the walls and grabbing two smaller swords. Testing the handling of them, he proceeded to run through training exercises against air, jabbing and slashing. The dummies were currently busy with Peregrin, and Victor was used to any sword but his over, therefore he decided to get used to them before he attempted an attack on the dummies. An attack that Victor hoped to use to show the rest of them how skillful he was.

(perhaps an edit, this was done in a rush:D )

Re: .:The Power Chambers:.
Eclispe watched the rest of his fellow students as they took in the power room experience, scoffing a bit as Loki commented on pippins abilities.
The cigarete Pippin had flicked, now floated in the air about Eclipse, wobling in a rythmic motion, as Eclipse let a slow current of wind flow from his up turned pal. The lit side of the cig. glowed its bright orange and eventually burned in self out.
Eclipse stood there now, the but of the cig floating above him, as he watched Victor begin to toy with the two swords. "I want my Katana.." he mumbled to himself. He closed his open palm into a fist. Instead of dropping to the floor, the bud simply was suspended in the air no longer wobbling rythmicly.
Eclisper flicked his arm to the side, opening his fist as if he was tossing something aside, as he did this the bud seemingly flung itself aside too. When really Eclispe had smiply used his semie solidfied wind trick to toss it away.

He was angry that he did not have his personal Katana to work with, only the ones that the power chamber provided. "Oh well..."

He was now taking off his top button up shirt, letting it fall to the floor, then his round rimless glasses that rested lazily on the bridge of his nose, were tossed atop his shirt.
HE began to stretch his arms, legs popping bones and warming up his joints. The Wepon training would wait till later, for now he was to work on his new fighting style.

It is a style in which he will really never have to touch his opponent physically, and it used both his physical ablities and elemental powers.

He stepped slowly now in the direction of the large wooden pillar of which ther was a spiked ball swingin around the top of. He brought his hands up to their gaurd postion open palm of course.

He now slowly let his body movements flow, easily and seemingly lazily, he slowly thrust out his right palm, then just as it was about to reach its full stretched length, his palm snapped out with a quick and powerfull strike, along with this came a low wooshing sound. A type of wind bullet, or wave went crashing into the wooden pillar, knocking the top half off completly.

He had used his powers to make the airflow change to a powerfull speed, and alost to solidify the current enough to instill a greater damage.

He continued this training now, slowly extending his his limbs out till they were nearly fully extended then snapping them out and caussing the waves of wind to go sailing off into a wall or the wooden pillar which kept fixing it self. Slowly his movements shifted from the slow till then end, to normal speed, but allways at the snap of a kick or punch the deadly wave was shot forward.

This would be very usefull indeed....

Re: .:The Power Chambers:.
"I can do this…" *Lyddie muttered, eyes flaring as she made her final selection. Left hand wrapped around the handle of an Isis Dagger, right hand showing its interest on a Kit Rae Fang of Baelin. She grinned slightly, her fingers flexing a bit around the handles of either of the weapons, getting used to the touch of the metal handles. True, she had considered using a sword, but they weren't for her. Too large, too bulky for her taste, they were meant more for Peregrin, Victor, and Eclipse; the three had been training with the weapon for quite some time. To her disappointment Lyddie hadn't seen any particular whip of her interest, the weapon Lyddie saw as the sole weapon of her people, the Drow. Her eyes examined the room again. There were three choices here; the gauntlet, the arena, and the orbs.*

"Why the hell not," *she said quietly, a slight perk to her voice as she grinned, straightening from where she stood. Yes, the gauntlet would be fun…giving in to Drow instincts once again in her life, Lyddie’s gray eyes froze over to a deep shade of violet, focusing on one target only. Black boots pounded on the floor as she tore towards the gauntlet, dropping to the floor and sliding on her back to the opposite side, arms crossed over her chest, clutching the blades protectively, eyes focusing on the spiked balls that swung from the pillars around her, barely missing her face. This was going to be one of those times when making things up as you went along was one of the best things you could do, it was visible already…*

*Leaping to her feet and daring to take a chance, Lyddie skirted past one of the swinging balls with a shrewd, Drow-like grace she knew she wouldn’t have been able to handle had this not been for the good of Aseri. What kept her going now, through everything, it was knowing what was coming, know she was going to be able to destroy Tomal Saichairi…pinning herself to the pillar she dug the blade of the Isis Dagger deeply into the wood, groaning as she pulled herself up off the floor just a few inches. Her ears filled with the grinding of the metal chain as she thrust the Kit Rae into the pillar. Both feet were off the ground now, she knew what she was doing, to an extent, and she pulled the Isis out of the wood. She was using the weapons to climb now…what she would do next she wasn’t completely sure of, but the chain that held the ball on was getting closer each time she came nearer to the top of the pillar...pulling both weapons out of the wood at the same time pale hands grabbed hold of the chain, muscles tightening with the strain. The chain was still moving, she was going to have to work fast...hands working fast, Lyddie found herself almost literally running up the side of the pillar, moving with the chain, letting go and taking a moment to catch her balance.*

"Oh boy..." *she murmured, looking down and seeing the others, arms stretched out on either side of her, grasping the weapons once more. Now how was she going to get out of this one...Lyddie cursed for not taking another weapon with her…though thinking…she was a weapon herself, wasn’t she? Couldn’t her power destroy this? Eclipse’s had…*

"Wonder of this can go on a resume," *Lyddie hissed, not amused by her own joke. Placing the weapons in the hilts on her belt, she outstretched her arms once more. Yes, there was power for her in this room…darkness, evil, it swarmed all around, intoxicating her mind, face grinning almost involuntarily as she began to conjure an orb in her hand, standing there on top of the pillar, blood pounding through her ears. Yes, show them all what she could do…show the world…eyes opening and locking on their target, the spiked ball that swung below her, Lyddie held the orb in her left hand high above her head, slamming it into the spiked ball. It took the orb, not changing but slowing. The power was weighing it down, it couldn’t hold it much more. Reaching down with a hand that had been burned pitch-black by the power writhing under its pores Lyddie released the energy through the chain, watching it tear through the metal, swarming towards the energy that the ball contained.*

"Time to go!" *Lyddie shouted in spite of herself, leaping from the pole as the metal gave weigh to the energy, splitting from the contamination. It was almost like the metal’s composition was breaking down, she thought as she landed on the floor, kneeling for a pause before pinning up against the wall barely missing the piece that broke off, slamming into the ground.*

"Well…" *she said, breathing rather heavily.* That was certainly...different."

((I think I got over my fear of sharp objects. *mutters about it being way too long*))

Adrenhalin seemed to roll off the four enthusiasts, like the steam that would soon follow their activities. It wafted through the air ensnarling every weapon, penetrating every dark corner, beckoning to her.

Unlike the others Loki was not keen to jump straight into training. She ran a set of fingers through her fiery red hair, while she decided what to do. No it was not time for her, it would not be time for her to parade her training or the products of her fruitful work until they attacked.

Growing uncomfortable watching the others so openly, she turned towards the door, her leather coat flinging around her like a fan, and saunted out of the chamber.

Re: .:The Power Chambers:.
Victor smiled as Lyddie went towards the posts. He held his breath as she gracefully dodged the spiked ball, hanging onto the chain, finally getting the ball to come to a stop.

Victor then placed the two swords back on the wall. He then headed over towards the flying orbs. He watched as they flew around, every so often, two orbs had a pulse of energy flow between it. Walking into the area, the orbs all stopped. Victor smiled, wanting to show off a bit himself. He ripped a piece of his shirt off and covered his eyes with it. Smiling, he nodded his head, an indication that he was ready.

Immediately the orbs began to fly around. An intricate pattern began to form, one that crossed with Victor's current position. As one orb flew right at him, Victor side stepped, allowing it to pass. Then he took a few steps forward, feeling another orb speeding towards him. As he did, he ducked and rolled forwards, the energy pulse connectiong between two orbs, right in the place where Victor had just stood. But instead of standing up, Victor pushed off his right foot, now flipping forwards an landing on his left foot, his right foot hanging in the air. Again Victor dodged, this time to his left, avoiding another energy blast and another set of orbs flying at him. Repeating this process of dodging, ducking, doing flips, and the occasional act of laying flat on the ground to avoid the pulses and the crashing of the orbs.

Finally it all stopped, having run its pattern. Victor stood up, brushed himself off and ran a hand through his hair. He took off his makeshaft blindfold and tossed it on the ground. Looking at the place where he ripped off the strip of clothing from. "Well, looks like I'm gonna need some new clothes."

Walking back to the group, he smiled. He had proven himself. He had shown that he hadn't wasted all the time he spent training, and in his own eyes, he had brought himself back to the level that he wanted to be at.

Re: .:The Power Chambers:.
"Very, very nice, my dear," *Lyddie cooed, grinning rather broadly as Victor finished with the orbs. No doubt she was truly impressed, like she was with the others, though she didn't have the heart to be jealous of Victor. No, she was confident with him...smiling cheekily and letting out a small laugh Lyddie returned to the wall, grabbing a Leviathan and a ninja's knife over her shoulders for Victor, pulling the Kit Rae and Isis from her belt and twirling them around in her hands a bit, crossing the room to stand in the center of the sand-filled arena.*

"How's about you test your luck with me, hmm?" *she said sweetly.*

Victor grabbed the weapons she chose for him. Smiling, he nodded, curious as to how well she handled the weapons she was holding. He walked towards the sand filled circle, this was obviously what it was designed for. Testing the weight of the two weapons, he found them to be a bit light for his taste, so he knew to adjust his moves accordingly.

Stepping into the circle, Victor waited until Lyddie joined him, bowing to her as she did. Victor wasn't exactly sure how hard he was going to go, his love for her making him not want to humilate her at all, but he also knew her pride would be hurt had he gone easy on her. Shrugging, Victor assumed a stance, holding the Leviathan out and keeping the ninja knife close to his body.

*Lyddie didn't dare to take her eyes off Victor as she bowed with him, the weapons staying close to her sides. She could feel it in him, the idea battling her was weakening...grinning as she came up, tossing her head for a minute and brushing now-short bangs out of her face, Lyddie began, lunging forward, the Kit Rae aimed for his forehead, the other at his stomach. Lyddie knew in her heart she couldn't kill him, that every blow dealt would be blocked, but this was still a battle...*

Re: .:The Power Chambers:.
Victor still wasn't sure how to battle her, then she attacked. He saw both the blades coming, one for his head, one for his stomach. Victor brought the Levithan up quickly, its blade crashing against that of the Kit Rae and stopping its progress. The second blade he let through, pushing away in a turn so that it missed his stomach and he ended behind her. Taking a step back, he waited for her to turn around. Victor had decided that if she wanted a battle, she would get one. He wasn't going to go full out on her, that maybe too much, and he didn't want to hurt her at all. But if she was going to attack him with blows that could kill, he wasn't going to just let her off easy either.

As Lyddie turned around, Victor stood in a defensive position. His eyes locked with hers, a small smile appearing on his face as if to say "Nice Try".

*Lyddie smiled slightly as she turned around on her heel in the sand to see Victor behind her, hands raised a bit, holding the weapons up.*

"What's the matter, honey?" *she cocked her head to the side, hair shaking with her movement.* "'Fraid to hurt such a pretty face?" *Fingertips spun the weapons again as she came closer, a foot coming up and resting on Victor's shoulder, the hand holding the Kit Rae close to his throat.*

"You know I won't kill you," *Lyddie murmured.* "Just enjoy teasing you..."

Victor raised an eyebrow. Quickly he ducked and rolled backwards, using his boot to kick her kit rae upwards. As he returned to his feet, he brought his Leviathan down towards her. As she blocked with her kit rae, as he expected she would, he swung his foot around for a roundhouse kick. His ninja knife was held at ready, waiting for her to counter his attack.

((*grins and is realizing how much she sucks at things like this*))

"@#%$!" *Lyddie shouted as he responded, using her own foot to kick the Kit Rae out of her hands. She growled as she kicked the Kit Rae, ready to block the Leviathan, eyes traveling to his foot, coming around to strike her. Mind working quickly, Lyddie returned her weapons to her belt, handspringing backwards and just dodging his kick, her foot coming up to knock the Leviathan out of his hand. At the opposite end of the circle she paused, standing, pulling the weapons out again.*

Re: .:The Power Chambers:.
The levithan dropped from Victor's hand and into the sand below. Victor waited for her to speak, then picked it up, saying nothing. Looking at her, Victor started slowly walking towards her. Then when he had halved the distance between them, he broke into a sprint. Running at her, his levithan pointed at her chest. When he got in closer, he connected his levithan and knife with her two weapons, locking them in place, holding them there. He brought his knee up into her side, enough to make her feel it, perhaps enough to leave a bit of pain, but not the full force that he would use against an enemy. Then he brought his knee back down quickly, dropping as he did and sweeping her legs out with his other foot.

Standing up and stepping back, he looked at her.

((ok so tell me if you have a problem with this, I mean a problem with that I connected with the hits. I figure that since Vic has trained more than Lyddie, he would be able to get some things through, but if you want me to edit, just tell me, I will))

"You're better than I thought..." *Lyddie said, feeling Victor's knee on her side. Muscles tensed, holding the weapons in her hands in place, blocking Victor's own weapons. She let out a shout as his foot swept under her, causing her to land sharply on her back, groaning, sprawled out, she stared back up at him.*

"Yep.." *she said, but then, hardly thinking, Lyddie turned Victor's own move on himself, feet sweeping under his legs this time, knocking him off-balance.*

Victor fell to his back. Without a word, he flipped himself to his feet, his weapons ready for attack. "I'm just getting started" he said, a small smile escaping his lips.

He then lunged forward with his knife, the lunge aimed in the direction of her stomach. He knew she would block it, but he was still ready to stop his strike if need be.

*As Victor lunged forward Lyddie's hand holding the Isis snapped up, blocking the knife's blade from coming into her stomach. Victor tensed his stomach as he felt her knee connect to it. That was a dumb move, he needed to not make those anymore. As she flipped him off of her, he hit the ground and rolled, ending up standing again. Turing quickly to face her, he charged again, having a new trick up his sleeve. Victor continued at full speed this time, but before he was in her reach, suddenly there was a flash. Victor had used his power of travel to instantly appear behind Lyddie. Knocking her weapons out of her hand while she was confused, he put the tip of his weapon against her chest. Smiling he said "I belive I win"
