The First Episode
I think that I'm very close to finding a copy of the first episode. ^_^ I'll be sure to let everyone here know if I'm able to track it down. In case I can get a copy of it, perhaps someone would be willing to put it on DVD- someone like Susan, perhaps? I don't want to get everyone's hopes up, but I think I'm on the right track this time.

I don't suppose that it would hurt to try writing to the CBC, either. I hear that it aired here at some point, and they their broadcast included the first episode. It has always seemed to me that the CBC was always willing to send footage to people who ask for it. It's worth a try.
The CBC
Hmm. I just found this: www.cbc.ca/archivesales/ It says that they sell footage from their archives to professional and commercial companies only... but it doesn't say if the footage is only of news, or all CBC programing. Possibly some company could be persuaded to buy the footage, if it is available, and have it released... maybe?
