*The Arrangement* hello True Lovers! Evie wanted my fic posted here- so here it is! still a work in progress, but i am gettin there, just need some time! so enjoy chicas, and give me feedback like yah have been at POTL! (this fic is also posted there). Lady jackson The Arrangement By Lady Jackson Part 1: I don't wanna marry you ********************************* disclaimer : you know the drill. author's note: anyways, okies, pacey and joey have very rich families, live in seattle, and have never met eachother but have heard alittle bit about eachother...their parents force them to get married, they don't want to because they are in love with other people...Pacey in love with Andie, and Joey in love with Jack(he isn't gay but soon will be)so that is the way it is, and if you don't like it, don't read it. rating: PG-13, maybe R later *******************************************************         "Andie, I only want to be with you and no one else. You have to understand that." Pacey pleaded with his girlfriend while he cupped her face on the sidewalk. "Pacey! If you really wanted to be with only me, you would stand up to your parents and refuse to marry this other girl that you don't love. " "Andie! Can't you see? I have no choice! I wish I did but I don't!!" Andie pulled away from his grasp. she started to storm down the street with Pacey chasing after her. He ran in front of her and made her stop. She glared up at him. Then he smiled.         “I have an idea.” He said with a grin. Andie folded her arms and still glared at him. “Spit it out.” “We could run away.” “That doesn’t solve anything!! Pacey, if you can’t find a reasonable solution to all of this then you don’t love me.” Pacey was shocked. How could Andie say that? He backed away from her. He shook his head sadly at her. “I’m sorry Andie if that is what you think. It’s not my fault. I guess you just don’t understand. If you change your mind before Christmas…here’s my number to call me in case you change your mind.” He hands her a card and then he walks off…leaving Andie to her own thoughts, studying the card with thought. “DAD! I don’t understand this!! Why do I have to marry some girl I don’t even know!! Just because our ancestors did it doesn’t mean I have to!! It’s a stupid…” “PACEY WITTER!! DON’T YOU DARE TALK ABOUT YOUR ELDERS OR TO ME THAT WAY!! IT MIGHT BE A STRANGE TRADITION TO YOU, BUT YOU HAVE TO MARRY INTO ANOTHER WEALTHY FAMILY TO KEEP THIS FAMILY’S GOOD NAME ALIVE!! THIS POTTER GIRL ISN’T THAT BAD!!” Pacey glared at his dad, his jaw clenched while they both stood facing eachother in his dad’s office. “I love Andie. I want her. Not this Potter girl you speak of.” Pacey said with what seemed like a low growl in his throat. “You will not marry Andie. YOU will marry Josephine Potter this coming January, and by your ancestors, you WILL not disobey me BOY!” They stood inches away from eachother, jaws clenched, fists in tight balls, and their eyes lay like stone upon each other’s, engraving the look in the other’s eyes. Pacey turned and stormed out of the room and into his Jaguar. He screeched out of the parking lot and on towards home. Once home, he collapsed on his bed. He was eighteen, and he had to get married to this girl he didn’t know and didn’t love. He wondered what Andie was doing right that minute… Josephine Potter made her way through the shops and carrying five shopping bags with her, spending her dad’s credit card well. She loved being rich and she was good at it. She was almost at peace when she saw her mother in the next store. Her mom turned around just in time to see her out the window and waved for her to come in. Joey rolled her eyes and came in reluctantly. Her mom was looking at wedding dresses. Oh wonderful. Here we go… “Joey, been more shopping have we? I hope you bought something elegant to wear to that party we’re going to at the Witters on Saturday. Pacey will be there and I expect you to make a good impression on him and his family and make me proud of you.” Joey rolled her eyes once again. “Mother, I don’t see why you are making me marry a man I don’t even know and don’t even love. I love Jack McPhee. He’s the most wonderful man in the world and I-,” “That’s enough Josephine! I will have no more of that nonsense from you. You are getting married to Pacey Witter and that is final. Jack isn’t wealthy like the Witters. We expect you to keep the family name well kept and to bring up my grandchildren. “ Joey decided to give up. She hated this. She wanted Jack!! Not this Pacey guy who had a dumb name and sounded dumb. He probably was dork with glasses and going to an Ivy League college with a medical degree. Icky. Lots of money, she supposed, but what about love? Joey sighed, defeated. She sat down in a chair and put her bags down. Her mother handed her some wedding dresses and Joey went to the back into a dressing room and tried each of them on. One was like a bell, it spread out like one at the bottom…she liked that one. Then she shook her head. I only want to marry Jack.         Just then, she heard a ding on the door of the shop and her mother raising her voice. She listened. “Oh Mrs. Witter! I’m so glad you could make it! And this must be Pacey!” Joey’s eyes widened. Pacey was here!! NO!! But curiosity got the better of her, and she peeked through the curtain. There was a tall, brown haired boy with the most beautiful stormy blue green eyes she had ever seen. He was wearing a Hawaiian t-shirt over a wifebeater, khaki pants, and brown sandals. His feet must be freezing. It’s November!! Wait, why am I thinking about his feet? I don’t even know this guy and… “I suppose you’d like to meet Josephine, Pacey?” Pacey tried to smile politely, but inside he was practically gagging. “Sure. I’d be delighted.” He said smoothly. Joey threw back the curtain and tried to get out of the damn bell dress. She finally got it off and pulled on her tight white pants and her tight black silk shirt with her white scarf. She fixed her curled brown hair and sighed. “Josephine! Come out here! There’s someone I want you to meet!” her mother called. “I hate all of you.” She muttered under her breath. She pushed back the curtain and Pacey looked up at her. He was surprisingly taken aback. She wasn’t what he expected. He expectedly some tacky blonde who didn’t know crap about anything except how to use a credit card. His eyes were somehow glued to her. She felt his gaze and slowly looked up and walked closer to him and their mothers. “Josephine, this is Pacey Witter. Pacey, this is Josephine.” “Nice to meet you Pacey Witter,” Joey put her hand out and he took it in his own. He kissed it gently and said, “Nice to meet you Joey.” Their eyes caught eachother’s. How did he know that she hated Josephine? How come he wasn’t being a jerk? He didn’t wear glasses. He was really charming and he was so handsome. Joey! You love Jack! Snap out of it! What are you doing Witter? Remember Andie? The girl you love? They both snapped out of their reverie and Pacey let go of her hand quickly and she pulled it away. The mothers kept on talking and they just stood there, looking anywhere but eachother. Finally, the mothers parted with hugs and they said their good-byes. “Bye you two! We’ll see you on Saturday at our party!” Mrs. Witter and Pacey walked out of the store. “She seemed nice didn’t she Pacey?” his mom asked. “Oh um, yeah. Sure. She was nice.” “What did you think of him Joey?” Mrs. Potter asked. “Oh, um, he’s charming. He’s nice.” “You better get more than nice on Saturday night at the party Josephine. He’s going to be your husband for the rest of your life, you should get used to liking him.” Joey rolled her eyes and tried to think of Jack. |

Oh this is a cool concept! An un-gay Jack we all know that Dawson is the real gay one, or maybe he just hasn't admitted it yet. hmmmmmmmm Well i really really like this idea.

Oh post more! I just registered so I could reply to all of the fics I've been reading. I've been lurking, but I decided since everyone seems kinda friendly and there arent a million people posting here that I'd come by and start giving my support. So I'm just going to do a little begging here and ask you to post more of this story. I'm very much enjoying it. Millie |
