| Togoria Major welcomes you, distant travellers. You are in the Temple of Lore, the archive of all knowledge, located on the island of Khraatali.
I am Rah'kiak the Wise, and Elder of a knowledge-loving people known as Khrytiannan. I wonder if Bagheera told you of our story? Oh, I see he has not. Very well, you shall know the brief history of our kind... as well as that of our brethrens, the Klaquiteel Sea Serpents. My people always cherished wisdom, and it is for knowledge we live. We heed nothing but the words of truth, and since our existance we have made significant progress in the area of science. But knowledge is not bought without price, and crisis began at a time long ago, before the birth of even the oldest of my ancestors that I can recall... Khrytianna is an aquatic world, with all but a humble island (which we dwell upon) covered in a vast ocean. Natural resources were hard to come by, and as we exhausted those provided by our land, we seeked for them into the deep ocean... and our action enraged a most ancient and powerful race whom lived in the sea of deep; yes, the Klaquitel Sea Serpents. They destroyed our mining facilities and raided our shores. We fought back, for we could not bear the thought of stopping our increase in knowledge. Many wars were waged, and amid the countless battles many lives were lost. Blessed be the day we met Bagheera, whose words brought understanding. I shall not dive into much details, for I am sure you are quite eager to move on. But I shall leave you with this: the Klaquitel Sea Serpents couldn't read our minds, and presumed us sinister.
