Teens 'n drugs
Trauma, LV,

I was on a discussion board recently and a couple of teenage girls came on. One of the girls - who from her photo can't have been more than 17 - mentioned that she had just got off 'crack'.

'Crack' (rock cocaine etc) is relatively unknown in this country, NZ, as far as I'm aware. I was wondering, from American experience of the last decade or so;

1) What are the physical effects (longterm) of 'crack' use?
2) What signs can a parent detect that their teen might be on something like this?
3) What's the best form of treatment for a parent to recommend (medically speaking) if a teen is involved with cocaine/crack?
