Taking what your given and making the best of it.
Friday, I had an argument with my new boss. Any way at first I thought about all the things I could do to make life hard for her, but yesterday and this morning I resolved to handle the situation diffrently. Basically I will do what she says, and look for another job in the mean time. If I was still drinking I would have one hell of a hangover cause I would have tried to drink the problem away. Instead I said what I had to say and moved on with my life, if not for the matuirty that AA has given me the situation would have gotten out of hand.

Ain't it amazin' that we no longer have to act the way we used to think we had to?

That's why I like the results of the practice of the principles embodied in Steps Six and Seven. If, early in the day, I reach for some kind of humility (an honest awareness of my own defects) I stand a much less chance of being humiliated by acting out on them later.

I like your new board. Keep up the good work.

best,
Jeff
