THE BACKYARD FILM in LOS ANGELES
LOS ANGELES PREMIERE OF “THE BACKYARD”
LOS ANGELES, CA. July 14, 2002-- Pure Entertainment, Inc. today announced that Barry Blaustein, director of Beyond The Mat, will introduce The Los Angeles Premiere of wrestling documentary "THE BACKYARD"
"THE BACKYARD" will have it's Los Angeles Premiere on Saturday, September 14th at 5pm at The Vista Movie Theater in official selection of The Silver Lake Film Festival. Tickets are open to the public.
"THE BACKYARD" is about kids who can't go to wrestling school, and live out their dreams in their backyards, using weapons such as staple guns, glass, and fire.
"THE BACKYARD" has been called "an absolute must-see" by AintItCoolNews, “Superb” by Dark Horizons, “Endearing” by Variety and received the highest "5 STAR" rating from Film Threat.
"THE BACKYARD" premiered at SXSW 2002, and screened in The San Francisco Documentary Film Festival, The Atlanta Film Festival and The Florida Film Festival. "THE BACKYARD" will also screen as an official selection in The Edinburgh International Film Festival and The Melbourne International Film Festival in August 2002.
