THE BACKYARD FILM in AUSTRALIA
THE BACKYARD will have it's Australian Premiere at The Melbourne International Film Festival.
THE BACKYARD is an intense documentary about kids who can't afford to go to wrestling school, and live out their dreams in their backyards, using weapons such as staple guns, glass, and fire. It is also about one man’s quest to get out of this violent world and become a professional wrestler.
THE BACKYARD has received rave reviews. Garth Franklin of Dark Horizons called THE BACKYARD “Superb”, AintItCoolNews called it "An absolute must-see", Daily Variety called it “Endearing” and Film Threat gave THE BACKYARD it’s highest rating of 5 stars.
Barry Blaustein, director of Beyond The Mat, has said that THE BACKYARD is the only wrestling film he has ever endorsed. He said
