Summer Coach Wanted
Seeking Summer Archery Coach
Camp Fernwood in Poland, Maine USA is seeking a highly motivated person to coach outdoor Olympic archery for the summer of 2002 (June 17th thru August 17th). The successful candidate will be joining three other returning staff members teaching in an all-girls, eight-week program. Our facility accommodates a 70-meter range, modern cutting edge equipment and is a registered Junior Olympic Archery Development (J.O.A.D.) club, which is fully sanctioned by the National Archery Association. Class sizes range from ten to twenty archers. While Camp Fernwood is non competitive in nature, Fernwood Archery has evolved into a program that is not “typical” of a summer camp program. A majority of the campers compete throughout the year and even train at the Olympic Training Center in San Diego, California. Candidates with an NAA level II (or above) certification or equivalent will receive preference in the application process. Overseas staffs are also encouraged to apply. Pay is determined by age and experience and can be negotiated by contacting a director. Room and board is provided. This brief advertisement does little justice to an actual “Fernwood Experience”. Interested candidates that have questions/comments or wish to apply online may do so at: www.fernwoodcamps.com/Fer..._Page.html Questions can also be answered by calling Fritz Seving (Director) at 610-287-4174 or Josh Gill (Archery Dept. staff) at 207-647-5706.
