As most of you probably know, I am going to be launching the new academy soon and I need some suggestions! 1) I need a name for it. IDF Academy is fine, but I want something exciting. It will be based off of Earth. 2) Classes! What are you all interested in learning about? 3) TEACHERS! I need teachers so if you want to teach EMAIL me. poisonwake@yahoo.com. 4) Any other comments. Bry Sinclair Registered User (1/17/04 4:09 pm) Reply	Ex Astris Scientia Why not use the Starfleet Academy motto as the name, the translations is "From the Stars, knowledge" and I think the spelling is right--latin isn't my strong suit--and it could be abbreviated to EAS. As for classes, well I'm not sure--I'll give it some thought and get back to you. Teachers. I'm training to be one in RL, so I'd gladly help out in any way I can. Other comments...I like cake!! And now for something completely different. Will the new recruits ever be given field postings onto IDF ships--just so they can get a taste for what real simming is like? Just thought that might be pretty cool, a cadet slave to boss around. muwhahahahahahahah (evil laugh) Anyway those are my thoughts--as erratic and badly spelt as they are. R.Adm. Darwin/Capt. Zhaan

I think I would like some command training and departmental training for other departments other than Communications and Counselling. I've posted as both a CCO and Chief Counsellor so I really don't need to relearn that stuff. This doesn't mean that I'm not satisfied with the jobs that my characters have played thus far in the IDF. I just love learning. In high school I remember about never having a favourite subject ... I studied all the sciences and well .... everything else especially music. During grade 11 I had trouble program planning for my final year since I wanted to literally emerse myself in 5 courses too many .... My only regret about completing that process is that I chose to take Math 12 the following year and only achieved 50% .... waste of time and I got way over my head. I could have taken History or French and gotten way better and well that was a few years ago. Since joining college in 2000 I've changed majors once from General Science to Psychology. I'm still there now .... and I have to say that I love philosophy just as much as psychology. Lol. I said too much just there. I'm becoming a cadet again so I don't limit myself. Here's hoping that I'll be the star cadet for the first month or so. Or not depending on my peers there, lol. But then again the academy needs instructors for it to run properly.
