Another Suggestion:
Perhaps the management should close several of the folders (or at least hide them from the forum pages), so that it looks a little less daunting (all the emptiness...)

An analogy to consider:
You can host a party of two people in a hockey arena, where in perspective it looks like "nothing's happening", or you could move the party to a small room, where it looks much more alive in comparison.
