And this is the reply I got back: *Quote:* We would prefer you not use our characters or story. Geoff Ramsey Roosterteeth Productions As C3P0 would say: "Rather touchy, aren't they?"

I find it hard to believe that these guys will not allow you to make a non-profit fan film from their characters, and yet the good folks at Bungie have allowed them to profit a great deal (DVDs and scuh) from the Halo games (I'm not sure if they have to pay royalties, but if they do, I'm betting its not much.)

But I'm not going to press the issue with them...right now anyway. After I get a few films under my belt, fan made and other wise, I'll ask them again and see if they change their tune.
