So where would I fit in??
Merry Meet All!
Ok..I guess I could post up my comments here and hopefully someone will answer me. I've encountered so much animocity out there about Christian Wicca...it's sad really. They have said "how can you blend 2 religions?" But here's something I don't get...if Pagan is a religion and so is Wicca...then why are there so many Pagan Wiccas?? What's the difference between being a Pagan Wicca and a Christian Wicca? But both of them "blend" 2 religions, so why do people get so upset when you mention Jesus?! I think all this crap about what Wicca is or isn't needs to stop. It's ok if you want to try to understand what different branches of Wicca believe, but saying that a Christian Wicca really isn't wiccan isn't right. It's very easy to be Christian and Wiccan. Besides, in today's world, people are adapting to numberous religions. I know a lot of "Catholics" that don't believe in hell or pergatory, go to Santeria parties for Chango, practice magick, study Kabalah, and yet they're "Catholic". I really don't think it matters how you worship the almighty...he/she listens and answers us all. So instead of people downing a certain belief, they need to realize that no one really know which religion is right or wrong until we die. Stop with the animocity already and accept us as we are!
I think the saying goes "all Wiccans are pagan but not all wiccans are pagan" , which doesnt really apply now that people are embracing Christian Wicca. Pagan is not a religion itself, but started out meaning "country folk" and became a catch all phrase for any and all non Christian earth based religons, of which Wicca was one. I suggest you read the essays on this website, there pretty informative and well written.

Re: So where would I fit in??
I agree with you that animosity should stop. Most of all it is the fitting in that is the problem there are too many wanna' be's out there that only are looking for a catch phrase because they think it is a trend. So if your not in, your out, as it were. Those of us that are on a true spiritual path and want to grow must suffer the slings and arrows. As far as any one religion goes, I have said it before and will say it again, when there were no names for religions what religion were you? Just wondering...........we are all just what we are and no more or no less, it is a shame that we cannot all find a common ground her and try to help each other grow......what I really see on this site is a whole lot of liberal "dogma". Free your mind and grow all of us should reach for the sky therein lie our answers. When I see the world all around me I see the divine, when I breathe I take in the divine, and when I sleep I am in the arms of my maker.......crow
