So THIS is where you've all been hiding!
What a great forum, Darrin and Lori Ann!
I used to be on Leangirl but that hasn't be accessible to me for a while.
Brenny, Aluschka, Ange, Gail ---- all my fit chicks reunited again. This is super!
I took a break from the body building competitions, sites for a while. I still trained (who couldn't?) for the past year but shifted my focus form competing to career counselling and spending more time with my children. It's really busy now that my children are older (8 & 5) and there are so many priorities that come first in their lives and I want to be able to be there fully for them. As well as do the laundry, shovel the driveway, fix the house, and on and on ....... it just never ends!
I found the ideal job working for a small business here in Waterloo. It's a company that sets up distributors for heatting and cooling systems. The company is small (only 5 people) but the business potential is huge! The peopel I work with are SO supportive and fun. The hours for a single mom are perfect (10 am - 3 pm) so I don't require afterschool care for my children and can still take them to their activities. I'm also doing some demos for Upper 49th, thanks to Brenny for recruiting me! It's a fun way to chat about the benefits of a healthy life.
I haven't been dating and not even sure my equipment still works . Oh well, I'd rather hang out at the gym and get eyefuls of muscle men pumping iron than fret about not having a date on a Friday night.
So, my goals for the next year? Well, I would like to get back in a good frame of mind for competing. I miss it and really enjoyed seeing the photos and hearing the results of this year's competitions.
I will focus on the drug-tested events where my physique and lifestyle are better suited for these shows. I'm not concerned with becoming a Pro but I do like the comraderie that comes with meeting great atheletes at the show and love competing as a way to work towards a personal fitness challenge.
Whoo hoo!! You found us! Nice to see you on the board
I've missed you at the comps this year--but i'm soo happy you are back in the scene. Your future plans sound great and i can't wait to see you back on stage

Re: So THIS is where you've all been hiding!
Hey She
I have 14 weeks till my show. I started with structured eating this Monday July 17th.I am around 13% at the moment so I don't have to do anything hectic..phew!!! I will be in Novice category since it will be my first time in NZ, so I do not have to worry about having have to come hard and muscular As for my weight training..hmmm same old story..no time to fit it in more then 2x per week, so I do whole body each time...well minus the abs, chest and triceps, so it is actually only half a body LOL I have a tear in my rotator cuff(I had ultrascan) and the doc send me to MRI (on August 1st) to have complete check up,cos my shoulder is killing me and I am very limited what I can do
