I've never felt this way before. I was experiencing something new and exciting and a little scary. Being an artificial being I didn't have much experience with emotions. I felt I had to talk to someone about it. Perhaps Steelheart could help. She's an empath and seems to understand a thing or two about emotions.
"Ok, Moeba. Can you describe what you're feeling?"
"Well, I find myself feeling like something is missing from my life. Sometimes I feel excited, nervous, happy, and sad all at once."
"Hmmm...do you start getting these feeling when a certain person is around?"
"Why, yes I do. What do you think it means?"
"Well, it sounds to me like you may be infatuated with someone. Do you think of this person a lot?"
"Oh, yes. At least 85% of my free time is spent thinking of this person."
"Do you long to be with this person and spend time alone with him or her?"
"Oh yes. All the time."
"Sounds like a classic case of a crush to me, Moeba."
"Really?"
"Uh huh. Have you told this person how you feel?"
"No, I haven't. Should I?"
"Maybe you should try to find out more about this person before admitting to your feelings. Get to know him or her better."
"Ok, that sounds like a good idea, SteelHeart. I will take your advice."
I decided then to figure out a way to reveal my feelings to my crush. That adorable little cyber-parrot called Chatterbox.

A nice little trip to Wings of Freedom is all I need! The air, the water and that cute little lollee will make my visit muy pleasant. At least, that's what it's supposed to do. When I got there, I saw TallyHawk...cuddling with the lollee! I was devastaed and furious! That glorified feather duster has miffed me good! This is the last straw! The final insult! So what did I do? I knocked Tally outta the way and began talking with the lollee. "So," I started. "What's a gal like you doING---!" That loco Tally pulled me to the side and started screeching. "What do you mean she's your bird?!" I argued. "I saw her first!" Being a cybernetic brid with AI does have its perks since I understand Tally.
Then the lollee started going at it with the bird talk. She said that Tally is a nice and gentle male. What the...? "But what's he got that I don't?" I asked. Tally replied, 'besides superior equipment?' That does it. "You wanna rumble?" I told him. "All right, hotshot, we'll go at it! Right here, right now!" Me against Tally, mano e mano. Okay, not the smartest thing I've done, but I was too upset to care.

As I was calibrating all of the medical equipment in the infirmary, SteelWill came in with a patient for me. It was Chatterbox! His feathers looked a little ruffled, but other than that he looked ok. I examined him anyway.
"Chatterbox! What happened to you?"
"Eh, I got in a little fight at Wings of Freedom..." he muttered.
"With who?" He mumbled an answer but I couldn't understand what he said.
" Repita, por favor."
"Tally Hawk, ok! I got in a fight with Tally...over a female! Ya happy now?"
"I take it you lost the fight."
"Oh, is it that obvious?" I nodded, then wnet to work on any injuries. While I treated his injuries, which were very minor, we got an interesting conversation going.
"I can't believe that cute little lollee chose him over me! She obviously doesn't have very good taste in males." I thought it was a good thing she rejected him. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to have him for myself. I kept that thought to myself though. Eventually, our conversation changed to a different subject. Me. "So, chica, what do you do all day?"
"Well, I spend most of my time in the infirmary, unless I'm needed out on the field."
"Really? Doesn't that get kind of boring?"
"Yes. And lonely too."
"Really? Even with the Steel Twins here?"
"Yes. They're ok, but it would be nice to spend time with someone like me for a change. But as far as I know, I'm the only Omnimorph in existence."
"Well, I'm the only cyber-parrot in existence as far as I know, and I don't let it bother me. It's fun being unique!"
"I guess you're right."
"But you're right too. Everyone could use a little companionship. Someone to share common interests with."
"That is true. Well, Chatts, you're all patched up. I give you a clean bill of health. Just stay out of fights with Tally Hawk."
"Ok, Moeba. Muchas gracias! I'll be seeing ya!"

That conversation with Moeba made me feel a little better, but I was still upset. So as soon as Moeba finished with me, I flew off to Sapphire's quarters. Whew! She's out tonight. I need to do something to occupy my mind. Maybe a party? Ok! Now, where shall I host it? Dolar? Nah, did that already. Automata? Did that twice. Pena--nope, I'll wait 'til after I get a death wish before hosting a party there. Somewhere on Bedlama, maybe? Ah, but where? Maybe the Square? Last time I did that, I got some serious reprimands. I was certainly not going back to Wings of Freedom for a while...wait a second. The night is still young, so the office might be...empty. Perfect! But I'll have to make it quick, though.

I was bored so I left one of my clones to keep an eye on things in the infirmary. As I headed to my personal quarters, I heard a disturbance in one of the empty offices. When I opened the door, I found Chatterbox having himself a little party.
"Chatts! What do you think you're doing?"
"Oh, just having myself a little fiesta to cheer me up!"
"Chatts, you'd beter get out of here before HotWing catches you!"
That parrot may be cute, but he sure is crazy!

Chatts' little fiesta was cut short when Hotwing and SteelHeart showed up. When I heard them at the door, I grabbed up Chatts and hid under the desk.
"Wow, Leo! I see you've got a little private party going for us. How sweet!"
"Emily, I didn't set this up."
"Then who could have...? Chatterbox, we know you're in here so come on out!"
Oh no! We are in big trouble!

Before we could find a means of escape, Leo found us under his desk. Moeba was clutching me tightly to her with a very worried expression on her face.
"Ok, I would expect to find Chatts here, but Moeba? You're here too?"
"Hey, she had nothing to do with this, hombre! She's just an innocent by stander!"
"Oh, really?"
"Yeah! I had the fiesta going strong before she even showed up! Please don't take it out on her! I take all the blame!"
"Come out from under there!" Leo growled. Sheesh, he can be such a grouch. Leo wouldn't let me out of there until I had cleaned up everything. Moeba helped, eventhough she had nothing to do with it. I thought that was sweet of her. After we cleaned up, Moeba and I headed for our quarters. I had pretty much figured out why SteelHeart and HotWing were up at this freakish hour in his office. Moeba, however, was clueless. I would have explained it to her if I wasn't so beat.
"I'll try to explain everything tomorrow. Right now, I could use some sleep."
"Ok, CHatts. Good night!"
"Buenos noches, amiga."
Seska still wasn't home yet. Good. No snoring to keep me up the rest of the night.

Morning came quite too quick for me. At least, I thought so. I just couldn't stop dreaming of that sweet little parrot. Well, I was in the infirmary when he decided to show up.
"Good morning, Chatts." I said.
" Buenos dias, Moeba." he replied. "How'd you sleep?"
"Fine, thank you."
" Buenos. I'm glad. We should have talks more often; the one last night really did me wonders."
"Uh, Chatts..."
"I mean, how often do you find somebody who's there to understand you? Someone who will be there no matter what crazy stunt you pull?"
"Chatts..."
"Seska's okay, but she yells at me once in a while when I do something stupid. I'll never understand why; it's not like I intended for any disaster to happen."
"CHATTERBOX!"
"What?"
"Shouldn't you be on Bedlama for your duty shift?"
"That's not 'til 0800 hours." I pointed in the direction of the clock; it was 1000 hours.
"OH SHI*T!!" he yelled as he flew just about Mach 2, or at least it seemed that way. That poor bird; trouble always seems to target him more than anyone. As he flew through the nearest window, Sapphire came in.
"Let me guess," she said. "Chatts just left." I nodded. "Good."
"I don't understand."
"When I came back, I pushed the clocks about three hours later. That'll teach that bird to be late for another duty shift."

I knew I wouldn't see Chatterbox all day because he would be at work. I wanted so much to express my feelings to him , but I wasn't sure how. What if he didn't feel the same way? That would be kind of...embarassing. I decided to send him an e-mail to his personal box at work. Perhaps he would see it before coming home. The meassage read:

I'd like to let you know I really enjoyed our conversation the other night. It was interesting to see that the two of us have something in common. We're both quite unique. I'm the only Omnimorph known to exist, and you're the only talking cyberparrot in existence as far as we know. It's nice to know there's someone out there who understands what it's like to be the only one of your kind. I find that..comforting. I hope we'll be able to have a chance to talk again. Not only are you interesting to talk to, you're also funny and nice. I hope we can become very good friends.

As soon as I got to work, I found out something was screwy about the clocks on Hawk Haven. Ah, well. At least I'm not late. I must've spent all morning over those translations when I got something in my private box. I wonder if Gotbucks got a new karaoke machine...Moeba? What the...oh, it's a friend note for last night. That was nice of her. I quickly sent her a reply, got back to work on some translations, and continued planning my latest match-making scheme. I'm a mortal Cupid, for Christ's sake!

I was so excited when Chatterbox sent a reply! I immediately sent my own reply back. It went on like this for several days until I fianlly decided to take things a little further. I asked Chatts for some advice about revealing my feelings for my crush, but I didn't tell him who my crush was. He advised me to just tell that person how I feel, which is also what Emily had advised me to do. So, I told him. I didn't expect the response I got though.

Our first date was in Bedlama Park. We were to meet by the huge fountain in the center of the park. I assumed the form of a female cockatoo. I was pretty excited, but Chatt's seemed kind of nervous. I should have been the nervous one. This was the first date I ever had in my life after all.

Our first date went pretty well. We got to know each other a little better, and I had to admit Moeba did make a pretty cockatoo. I still wasn't sure where this was gonna lead. I mean, I have nothing against interspecies dating, but Moeba was an artificial being! I still didn't know much about her kind, but from what I could tell, she does have genuine emotions. She is kind of on the shy side, which is kind of sweet. Wherever this leads, I hope no one ends up getting hurt.
Moeba and I pretty much kept our dating on the down low. Unfortunately someone found out about it. I'll just say Molecu-Lar got a little jealous and decided to make another move on Moeba.

On Bedlama, here I am, and off of Brim Star. I needed to get a break, and a date. So it was a huge wonder that I found that pesky parrot in the park one night. He was talking with this cockatoo. Wait, she sounds familiar. Moeba?! What the hell was going on here?! Do not tell me she chose that dinky parrot over me! What's he got that I don't anyway!?

Chatts and I were on our fourth date when someone decided to interrupt us. A big raven started harrasssing Chatts. He was skwaking away while pulling at my date's feathers. There was something funny about that raven. It's energy signature was all off. I soon realized it was similar to...a biomorph! I quickly tranformed to my basic form and grabbed the raven.
"What a rude little bird you are!"
The biomorph began to laugh as it tranformed in my hands! I stumbled back as the biomorph solidified into...Molecu-Lar!
"I should have known it was you!"
"I told you you won't be seeing the last of me, beautiful!"
He grabbed me up and kissed me while he grabbed Chatts and turned him upside down in the bird bath we had been sitting in.

That does it!! That puto made a BIG mistake messing with me and my girl. I set my power on full and made a sonic blast in the birdbath! Uh oh, it shattered, but I'll deal with that later. Right now, there's a major score I gotta settle with Molecu-Lar. I aimed directly for his head and let out a sonic blast! Moeba got hit, too, but she managed to revert to liquid form to keep from getting too badly injured.
"That was a warning," I said to Molecu-Lar. "Now back off!"
"Or what, birdbrain?" Mo asked. So I showed him. I hammered at him blast after blast with my sonic disrupter. All I can say now is that I didn't kill him (which is a bad thing), but he was pretty badly injured. Hey, he wants to get personal, he's gonna pay the piper!

I felt kind of sorry for Mo..sorta. He did interrupt our date. On the other hand I could kind of sympathize with his pain. I am a biomorph. Inspite of his injured state, he manages to escape.

"Yeah! Too bad huh?"
"CHATTS! What a horrible thing to say!"
"Who's side are you on, chica?"
"I'm not taking sides. It's just that...I..I've never seen this side of you...and I don't think I like it."
