just have to say that Ship of Screams was one of the better ones… I never could tell when it was over… everytime you turned a corner you were in another scene… just when I thought they couldn’t possibly scare me again I would almost wet my pants.
Everything was very well themed... before you go into the house there is a guy with a clip board who has very dark hair... at first i thought he was the director. The make up and costumes were amazing. A couple of parts were comical... the ghostly Passengers were like "wheres my daddy... wheres my baby?"
BE PREPARED TO GET YOUR SHOES WET! they use water throughout the house making it seem like it is sinking...
I dont think i saw one mask in the whole house... the make-up combined with the lighting was amazing...
be sure to hit this one after the sun goes down... i heard from a couple of friends that the light shines in and ruins acouple of scenes.
Re: Ship Of Screams
Ship of Screams- I've been going to horror nights since the 3rd year of operation and I have to say that this was the best "dressed" house I have ever seen in terms of props and whatnot. The story for this house is killer and the way they made the scenes flow was awesome. Some major hot girls workin' in this one too I may add. (Coolest feature: puddles)
Re: Ship Of Screams
Ship of Screams. This house was really cool! Im sorry but who ever sad this house lacked detail must have went through it in hte daylight! I thought that house was really good. They had some good scares! Some scenes were better than others, but i really liked this house. Spoilers Beware! One scare in particular that they got me really good was a port hole where you saw a woman in tattered clothing, and she liked was moving aroung really fast like a psyco, and then someone jumped out at me, but they were right up near the port hole as the woman was near the back, and he reached out, and I thought there would have been glass there. Really cool!
Re: Ship Of Screams
I did Ship of Screams first, just because it was the direction that I
was going in after playing in Toxic City. I had met up with John and
Ali briefly in Marvel and they were trailing us as we approached the
que area. I had medium hopes for this house. I felt that it would be
pretty difficult to make a believable ship setting in a house, so I
was kind of expecting the worst. I entered the house after a quick 10
minute wait and could tell right off it was pretty dark. The actors
were fairly entertaining as the mimicked the dead passengers of the
ship. The props and sets also were pretty well done. I can't say that
the house had a sense of horror or tension/ dread at all. Nothing
happened here of note that was memorable or comical. No good scares
for either me or my sis. Saw alot of staff in this house. Don't know
if something had happened or if they had tech problems, but it took
away a lot of the atmosphere for me. The last hallway with the water
effects was mildly entertaining, but I was pissed I got so wet. I
should have expected that. Overall, this house was about what I had
expected. I was not as advertising. I did not feel like the ship was
sinking or that the ghosts would not let me leave. The actors needed
to be more vocal and interact more with the guests here. I had only
gotten the chance to do this house once. I hate to be so critical
with only one run thru, but it is what it is.
