Merry Meet
What are your thoughts on Shapeshifting and on a Which who claims to be a Shapeshifter (not publically, but in private with an Elder as a matter of concern)?

I would be cautious about anyone who claims actual physical shifting. If they can do you should ask them to let you see it. Many people claim shifting abilities but most have a motive for making such a claim. Usually they need an ego boost and want to brag about an ability they do not have. However, they may wish to fool others in order to gain naive followers and thus satisfy an ego-driven need to gain power over others. I'd be very cautious about such people.
Now a mental shift is very common and very real. So real, in fact, that it can actually increase tactile sensations, propreoceptive awareness (balance, knowing where you are in time and space - this would increase athletic abilities), physical strenth, and speed. Mind over matter.

Shapeshifting
Greetings,
Although I personally do not have the ability to physically shapeshift, I do believe it is possible. I practice Brujeria (Catholic Hispanic Witchcraft), and in our tradition it is commonly said that some powerful Brujas have the ability to physically shapeshift, usually in the form of a bird, spider, or even a fly. Many Brujas will tell you a similar story about a some well-known Bruja who has/had such an ability.
Astral shapeshifting is much easier to perform. It involves the changing of your Astral Body to another form through Intention, Will and Visualization. Then one can travel in one's astral body in this form on the astral plane. The only time I have seen strong physical transformations/manifestations is when I worked with the Goetia (Lesser Key of Solomon). The Goetic spirits are very powerful, and if you know how to work with them properly, they can help you develop many abilities. I once saw a Goetic spirit physically bend a spoon that was outside the Circle, so I know that they can effect the physical reality (literally).
