Sexyman is all busted up
hey y'all. So i have a bum wing. Was in a serious car accident and broke my scapula (shoulder blade). Needless to say, im in a lot of pain now. Just happy to be alive. Please keep me in your prayers.

thanks everyone.
heres an update:
i'm still in a lot of pain, but coping. i have an appt with an ortho surgeon on thurs who specializes in trauma and sports med, so good for me. big accomplishments today, as i got myself out of bed, took a shower and dressed ,myself, including putting a shirt on ( something that was impossible before). i still cant tie my shoes though. lol
i'm taking it all in stride. ill be ok eventually.
if anyone hears from meg, please let her know. ive been trying to call her, but cant get through.

Hey, Drew sorry to hear about your accident...I feel your pain...I recently just got out of full arm cast...It's so frustrating...thankfully I didn't require any surgery..I was very lucky..I hope you are as well....I wish you a speedy recovery!

Thanks again everyone.
Just an update. I'm up and around, but will be out of work for at least another week. I started physical therapy this week and am starting to get a lot of motion back in my arm. The pain is not as bad as it was and I'm only taking the drugs at night so I can sleep.
I won't be needing surgery and should be healed in another 4 weeks. Doc said My strength should be 100% in another 10 weeks. So I'm very happy about that.

Check your mail at home in about 3-5 days. Nurse Meg is sending you something.

Okiedokes Meggie weggie.
On a good note, I saw the doc today and it seems I WON'T be needing surgery after all. I can also get back to the gym and back to work. I'm healing very quickly and am getting a little bit stronger every day.

OK, I guess I shoul dgive an update.
I'm about 70% now. I can move my arm around without a lot of pain, just a lot of soreness all day.
Been working for a few weeks, and no big problems, although I quit my current job and am starting a new job on Monday. Go me.
Also got myself a car, not much to brag on, but it gets me around.
Back to the gym, working out 3 days a week now. I'm up to 12# bicep curls on my left arm. Just, oh 40 lbs to go. lol

Update: 18 months later.
FINALLY I have little to no pain in my shoudlers when lifting. I'm very healthy and powerlifting competitively. I recently took 1st in the CT open Deadlifting championships for 181lb class. Lifted 420 while weighing 175. I'll be in my first bench meet in 2 weeks and hope to hit a 235 bench to go along with (hopefully) a 445 deadlift.
I think it's safe to say, I'm all better.
