SUDDEN DEATH
My daughter-in-law had a 4yr old goat; gave birth to twins in Feb. 2004. Within 48 hrs she died. She had severe chills; we covered her and it seemed to stop the chills. She quit eating and then within 48 hrs. she had died. Her stools contained white mucus and her urine was extremely dark. She kept arching her back. All this took place in a 48 hr. period. Does anyone know what happened?

Re: SUDDEN DEATH
Might be as simple as a breach kid she couldn't deliver. I have experinced this in other animals and if the kid was to big for her to deliver and she kept arching her back and the mucus in the stool also dark urine with loss of appetite dehydration set in and the contamination of the dead kid inside of her killed her in such a short period of time.
