Rubicon Express JJ
Can anyone give me ACCURATE measurements on a small Rubicon Johnny Joint.
Outside dia of body
Across mounting
Mounting bolt dia
Width of body
Thickness of body/shell
If anyone knows the radial load rating that would be good too.
Any reports of breakage of these?

If Jeep whats a bigger name in OZ, it should be the Bamaga Express, or The Cape Express ! I am never goin' to drive the Rubicon but I know where there are 164,000,000 corrugations a foot wide and a foot deep, and dips in the road that are more like canyons! To miss these you will need a winch, snorkel,good supply of engine mounts,24 shock absorber rubbers(not comdons)and new tyres before you start, the trail goes for about 100 klms. You will need more than a johnny joint to bring it back alive ! Build me a Jeep that will take this road and it will be better than any other 4wd. By the way it can be done and is daily at a price, but doing it without destroying the vehicle and in relative comfort is the challenge.
