Question!
I have a question. Does anyone know if a goat can die of worms, yet not have scours?...Here's the story. I regularly wormed my pet goats with a pelleted wormer. But while I was on vacation, my favorite goat Paddy died, and all the others except a few got sick. The people watching over her said that she (Paddy) did have scours. They took the two sickest to the vet, and she said that the had worms...she recommended that I alternate wormers as some do not cover all types of worms. She treated all of our goats. The next day, one of my other goats, Bo Peep, started acting sick, but she had normal feces. She had dropped weight and had become extremely weak. That day she got weaker and weaker. We did everything we could. Then her pulse got alot faster and she felt like she was running a fever. She was so weak that she couldn't even get up. At times she was even unresponsive like she didnt know what was going on (she had eaten a little) In some ways her symtoms sounded like Paddy's, but they were also different. She died early the next morning.(now i have 4 orphaned kids and taking care of them is a hassle) I was wondering if it was possible she had something else wrong with her.

never mind
never mind she also had a bacterial infection|I .....hopefully now I've learned something from all of this..ALTERNATE WORMERS!!!
