Plastic Surgery Issues
Cosmetic Surgery has been used by Hollywood and the rich for many years with mixed reviews. However, with the sole exception of Chers doctor, whoever he is, I have not been impressed. Since the introduction of the popularity of facial exercise programs, many plastic surgeons are looking for new and better ways to make faces look younger and more toned. They are slowiy getting away from the clip and cut philosophy. Cutting the skin and pulling it tighter along the face. This in many cases is rather like pulling a blanket tightly over a bed, creating the shrunken head effect.

The bone structure of the face is a poor surface to support he skin, if all you are doing removing lose skin. I recently saw a program where they are putting surfaces under the skin which make a man look like he has a muscle structure under the skin, making the appearance of what is called a six pack. I also saw where the same thing was done to the chin area. Cosmetic surgeons are catching on that giving the fullness of youth is more acceptable than just nip and tuck. However, many of these procedures come with a price. I get letters all the time from individuals who have used cosmetic surgery. The most common compliant is that the surgery removed fatty deposits, tightened the skin, but the removal of the fat made the skin sag more. This is due to the removal of a substance that supported the skin.

The last letter I received was from a woman who used the botox treatment, and for some reason it migrated to other areas of the face and her skin lost all its firmness. I am not a believer in plastic surgery. However, if you are considering it, make sure you know other clients who have used the surgeons services. It breaks my heart when I get letters from individuals who have had negative reports of such services.

There are several good facial exercise programs on the market which work to develop the muscles and evenly support the muscles of the face. I have talked to many people who have corrected issues like a double chin or bags under the eyes with simple exercise, and removed the need for facial exercise. It many cases trying exercise before surgery is advisable.
