Perth Meet in January
Well all you Yammies know that Kat is having her babyshower in January while Sarah is here, but I thought it'd be nice to all get together and go out for lunch or something aswell.
I was thinking somewhere like Sizzlers so the kids can scoff as much as they like and we can hang around for a bit afterwards and have a cuppa. I know theres nothing there to entertain the kids, but if we went to say Kelmscott (I know its SOR but its on the trainline and easy access for everyone using Public Transport) then we could drive/train it to Cannington and take the kids to Hocus Pocus at Carousel. It costs $2.50 for unlimited play there and its free for under 2 yr olds. Theyve also got a cafe so we call all relax and have a cuppa

Terri I think that's a bit of trekking around during the day with the kids, especially if we go to Sizzlers for lunch and then train it to Cannington in the arvo... the kid's could be tired, ready for a nap, and it's a little bit of a walk from the station to Carousel for the kids. And it would be a bit awkward getting all our strollers/prams onto the one bus, if there was one! LoL!
If you want to go to Sizzler, then maybe we should make it the Riverton Sizzler, which is nicer than Kelmscott too, and then we could take the kids across the street to play at Tumblers Gym or to the park or something. What do you think?
Is the meet going to be on when Bek's down in Perth too?

Hey Teri
I think lunch sounds like a great idea and combining Kats baby shower and luch would work well for me as I won't have a car while I am in Perth and as I live NOR its a bit of a hike with the kids on trains and buses.
So Teri you give Kat a boot up the Bum and organise this baby shower and maybe after that we could get takeaway and go to a park close buy and have a sort of picnic lunch or maybe if there is a Maccas close by we could go there.
And as Bonny asked are we going to do this when Bek is here as I would love to meet her and this would be a good chance for us all to.

That all sounds fine with me, I would love to have another meet although I do agree that going from Kelmscott to Carousel is a bit of stretch for those catching public transport (unlike lazy me who will take her car   ).
Anyway, what Sarah said is a good idea, if we find out from Kat if she is definately having her shower on the 10th, that would be fine. As long as its not on the 8th (Julia and I have Hi-5  ), then its all good. 
The closest takeaway to Kat's house which will be good for the kids is Hungry Jacks, which is about a 10 minute walk or so.
But the 10th is only 12 days away, so hopefully we will hear something soon

Carousel sounds good to me, hungry jacks isnt so great for little kids as the play equipment usually needs climbing by 3 year old and 1 or 2 yrs olds get bored easy since there isnt much down low (at least this is what Ive found). Anywhere I will have to catch a bus/train or a bus/bus but I just think at carousel we will be able to chill out and not worry about the kiddies a bit more.
Where does Kat live Simone? whats the public transport like down that way?
Hopefully I will be able to come but this month with my mum away is hard because I have to look after my brother while my dad works and have to work things out with my other brother and around him if I want to go out just me and Seth.

How does this sound???
-I have my baby shower at Sizzlers in Riverton and then we either go to Riverton Leisureplex for a swim and play or Carousel.-
Basically, I have now had to re-think my date for my baby shower so I wouldn't have a clue yet what date it is and secondly I haven't got enought time to organise a party so going somewhere where the food is basically already prepared etc would be so much easier for me. The baby shower would have to be on a day where I don't have work exp or on a weekend.
Days I have free (when Sarah is in Perth):
Sat 10th, Sun 11th, Sat 17th, Sun 18th, Wed 21st, Thur 22nd, Fri 23rd, Sat 24th.
Also I'm not going to have a theme now coz there is not enough time to plan. I'll get back to you guys though when I know a bit more.

The reason behind Kelmscott over Riverton for the meet is purely because Riverton is ALWAYS full. Riverton would be so much easier for me as I can walk there LOL  But yeah it is always very busy there and I thought everyone would prefer somewhere more quieter. Its not far to Carousel on the train and to walk, Renee and I do it all the time its literally less than 10 mins on the train and less than 10 mins walking time to Carousel! No-one seems interested in going for a meet there so PLEASE throw some suggestions this way it'd be much appreciated!
If you're planning on having your babyshower at Riverton Kat then it may be wise to book some tables when you know who's coming as like I said its super busy there!
Someone said something about Hungry Jacks. I'd prefer to go somewhere where the food is more healthier cos Im on a diet now and I dont want to ruin it by eating crap when I dont need to.
It'd be great if you guys could throw some more suggestions in for the meet -its for when Bek's here not Kat's babyshower- and if you could come up with somewhere that is (a) affordable for all (b) easy access via Public Transport and (c) kinda central that would be great 
I know there are a few more NOR girls, if everyone could post where they'd be coming from and how they were getting around (car or PT) that'd be great aswell. Im coming from Parkwood (15 min bus trip to Cannington Traino) and Renee is coming from Armadale (15 min trip to Armadale Traino).

Well just been looking through Kats dates the 25th is no good as I fly out on the 25th so I want to spend my last day with my Mum and I would prefer a week day as buses only run on weekdays from Two Rocks to Town

Ok girls. Im going to separate this post and paste Kat's baby shower post into a separate post so we dont get confused. This post will remain here for the meet for when Bek (aka Go Baby) comes to Perth.
