Ozzfest July 19th - New Jersey
System owned Ozzfest, definitely the best band on the bill as well as got the best crowd reaction/participation...the whole crowd sung along with just about everything.
Serj came out in what looked like a maroon robe, quite strange looking being he looked like he was ready for bed...but anyways set list in order was:

Overall they didn't do too much talking to the crowd, a few words from Daron..if I remember correctly instead of singing "La Isla Bonita" each time he would sing "La Isla Penis"....Shavo seemed to be doing sign language to the girls in front, trying to get them to lift and show their boobies. Even the start of the show was strange - fish tank on the screen and Daron playing some Indian-ish sounds on the quitar. Great show all around, they sounded good, they acted fine, John had one mess up during a song - it was quite noticeable.
Earlier in the day saw some of Apex - was too busy trying to get necessary water...but "met" them later on at the signing booth. They all seemed very nice...kid before me in line was having an Ozzfest DVD booklet signed, David (bassist) made it a point to find Daron's pic and make a "word bubble" coming out of Daron's mouth saying "I'm not as tough as I really think I am"...when he passed the booklet on, Andy made it a point to find Daron's pic as well and draw on his face...some bigger nostrils, lines on the neck like M. Manson wears and some funny mustache. He seemed to smile and snicker as he did it. Later on during P.O.D. or Zombie I noticed that Sammy happened to be standing in the aisle next to where we were sitting, he was just walking around - maybe waiting to be noticed.
Also meant to add, Apex's show didn't go over to well with some in the crowd, from where I was and could see/hear..seemed like Andy was definitely having a problem with a kid or a group of kids in the crowd. Some name calling and crap went on, lol
Anyways it was a hotter than hell day there, met so many stupid ass drunk people who more annoying than anyone can imagine, saw lots of fights, lots of boobs and lots of puking lol.
My son (yes I have one) had he face painted up like Kud from Mudvayne, it made his day when the singer from Neurotica, while on line to get his autograph, made it a point to say "whoa wait a minute I need to have my pic taken with you", which of course my son was more than happy to do...he's hoping he'll make their website or some crap like that.
Tomorrow it's back for another trip to Ozzyland.
