One of those days....
Eclipse reached the top of the cliff, lead there by his feet and the trail from stiles road.
His hair was tied back as usual, he wore his favorite white muscle shirt, black jeans, and boots. All muggle clothes, the way he was comfertable. In his right pocket was his wand, and in his left hand a bottle of vodka.
He had decided he needed a walk, and skipped classes that day. Stopped by the pub and picked up his vodka, no questions asked. He drank outside the pub for a while before deciding that he would walk up to the mountain and take a look.
So there he was now sucking on a bottle of Vodka and leaning against a tree. Taking in all the vastness of the scenary.
"Wow...thats pretty. Shoulda came up here like a long while ago." he said his speech slow but not slurred.
Slowly he got on all fours and crawled to the edge of the cloff and looked down, then looked over to his right, and there he was standing, not really, but eclipse could see him so he had to be standing there. IT was Kale. Eclipse stood quickly and ran over to where he could see Kale. "KALE! I thought you was dead! How'd ya get back to life and stuff?" he asked the image in front of him, getting nothing but a smile and a nod. "Well im sure it was tramatizing, no need to talk about it now." he said nodding and patting the air on the shoulder. "So have ya seen how far down this here cliff goes down? ITs pretty farm, but.....ya know.....wait...i said farm. I mean it was pretty far down....yesh thats what it is....i think....yes." he nodded, took a swig of the vodka and took to all fours again, crawling back to the edge. "So you wanna go fly?" eclipsed asked and looked over to his right to find kale gone. He stood up quickly and looked all over. "F**CK YOU THEN!! LEAVE!! I DONT CARE!! ITS NOT THE FIRST TIME!!!" he hollard out to the air.
His feet were at the very ade of the cliff, and he was dangerously close to falling. "Damn it!" he said to himself and chucked the bottle of vodka out over the cliff.
He watched closely as it seemed to float out a certain distance and then began its decent downwards.
"HAH! You cant fly!!" eclispe called out to the bottle which could no longer be seen and stuck his tounge out. "Watch how its done son!" eclipse called out again and spread his arms out to full span.
*Lyddie H'tarlaw swung down from a branch in a tree, black combat boots landing flat-footed. She was dressed in navy UFO's and a top to match, a weatherbeaten violet cloak over her shoulders. Lyddie hadn't been going to interrupt him, seeing as he passed that he was visibly drunk, a bottle of vodka in hand, but as he continued shouting and came dangerously close to the cliff's edge she knew she had to do something. She had been off the edge of that cliff, and it wasn't pretty. Nothing that happened to her up here was very pretty, come to think of it...and that was probably why she was still hanging around here.*
"Eclipse, don't take another step..." *Lyddie said, repeating his name and softening her voice somewhat.* "Just back up."

Eclipse was startled by a voice that he at the time didnt recognize at all. His left foot lost its footing and went out over the edge, but he yanked it back and swung his body around to face the direction in which the voice came from.
"Who be you?" he stammered in that slow drunken fashion. He stepped forward a few paces and squinted. "Is you gonna fly away from me to?" he asked still leaning forward and squinting to get a good look.

"Eclipse, it's me, Lyddie," *Lyddie said slowly, oddly wondering what he was talking about but not backing away, knowing that even though he was....not exactly as sane as he could be right now....he was a friend enough, and she should stay here and try and find out what was wrong. So Lyddie let him observe her.*
"No...I'm not going to fly away."

Eclipse continued squinting and and then nodded as she stated who she was. "Ahhhh! LYdz! How ya doin gurly?! COme to join me on me birthday? IM THE BIG 1-7! Depressing really. Kale flew off on me a second ago....but anyways! Come join me at the edge of this here hill." eclispe said going and sitting down at the edge of the cliff and patting the floor next to him.

*Still wondering who Kale was but not saying anything, Lyddie knelt down besides him for a moment, then shifted into a more comfortable position, legs dangling over the cliff, hands resting behind her and holding for support ((erk....can't describe sitting...)). Lyddie could remember the last time she had come up here, not really that long ago...the memory made her shiver, and she resisted the urge to tug at the collar of her cloak and cover the bite on her neck better.*
"Well...Happy birthday," *Lyddie finally said, trying to sound bright.*

Eclipse grinned a toothy grin and put his arm around LYdz giving her a tight hug, "Thankies Lydz! Now i know why im here!....No wait i dont think i know cause ify i knewy id know!" Eclipse stammered on not realy making any sence. "But any who what brings you up here to this booty-full place?" he asked releasing her from the hug and leaning foward a bit more over the edge. "lost my vodka" he murmered to himself.

*Lyddie was a bit surprised as Eclipse hugged her, but she grinned anyways, chortling slightly at his comment. Watching him lean forward, she couldn't help but grab him by the collar and pull him back; she just didn't like watching people lean over cliffs, even a little bit.*
"Why am I up here?" *Lyddie said quietly. She leaned back once more, staring out at the sunset.* "Why am I here..." *she repeated, more quietly. She didn't know, to be honest...maybe she had just expected Phill to be up here again...not that she wanted to see him...*
"I dunno...." *she said finally, quieter than usual.* "Maybe I'm just...thinkin'...or whatev..." *Lyddie raised a hand and idly brushed hair out of her face, hand running over the place she had been bitten before returning it to its original position.* "Been comin' up here more than usual, I suppose..."

Eclipse allowed himself to be pulled back and smiled as he listened intently to what Lydz had to say. She said the word thinking and it clicked into him that he had no idea what he would do when he got out of hoggies. "Lydz....what ya gonna do after school? Any idea whatcha wanna be?" eclipse ask'd leaning over on her lazily.

*Lyddie sighed. She really had no icea, when things boiled down. At all. The only thing she really kenw what what she didn't want to be, and that was a member of the Ministry. She knew there were probably others at Hogwarts training to be Aurors and so on, but she couldn't do that. The H'tarlaw probably already had a reputation against them - everyone seemed to be 'evil', especially from her father's side, not that anyone was still alive - and Lyddie...she still had a Dark Mark on, branded for life, whether she supported him or not.*
"I really don't know," *she said, feeling as though she were repeating herself.* "I haven't really thought about it. I guess...maybe I wanna go back to America. The school I attended, Chasse Čtoile, it's really messed right now. The Principal, she's not really...er...sane. Taught me to duel, yes, and I'm greatful for that. But other things she did...probably are best left unmentioned around here."

Eclipse listned as well as he could for a drunk person and leaned his back against Lyd'z shoulder. "I wanna be a super hero i think....yea" he said nodding in a knowing way. "BU ti dont think there is much call for them lately....myabe i can live in the woods, that way i'd never have to leave this place....when i is here, its the best life i ever have. Back home there are too many secrets....but a superhero would be nice." he added in his drunken ramble, though it was drunken ramble true words still spilled out.
((*runs into the room* I'M ALIVE...I WAS GROUNDED....SORRIES!!!!!!!....))
*Lyddie smiled at Eclipse's ideas, trying to think of something to say whole gazing out at the sunset. Come to think of it, this really was a topic she needed to think more about. She only had three more years left after this one, and then it was over. Gone. Zilch, Finito. Whatever.*
"You could be a superhero, I suppose..." *she said finally.* "Stay here, maybe, and help watch the school. Carm'd be happy to have you around.
"Me, though..." *Lyddie trailed off, pausing for a while before continuing. Suddenly, she was beginning to trail back to other places that she hadn't been to for a long time, names she thought had long since been forgotten...*
"I really just can't say right now. I mean...well...I dunno what I mean." *Lyddie continued to stare out at the sunset, watching it closely, almost feeling as though she were trying to block things out.*

Eclipse listened to lyddie and thought as well as he could about what she was saying. "Carmy is cool.." was all he musttered out.
