What ever happened to the pride of being an Olympic athelete . . .winning gold for your country?

I'm so tired of hearing that the medal doesn't matter. . .it's only a race. . .

I remember when athelete's would apologize for not winning a medal, not blow it off as no big deal. . .these young atheletes have no idea. . .
