Okay, so I'm starting this novel...
Check out www.nanowrimo.com - I'm in that. Why, I honestly dunno...
...anyway, it's just over a week till I have to start, and I have no idea what to write about. I'm not as spontaneously creative as most of you here, so I'll be coming by here for plenty of inspiration--I have from November 1 till midnight, November 30, to write a 50,000-word novel. *grin* I have it broken up into roughly 4 pages a day (in Arial 10 point font in MS Word)...so I need ideas. Help, please!

4 pages a day will never work out. Inspiration for writing comes in spurts.
50 000 words isn't too bad, though length-wise. But if you do manage to write exactly 50 000 words by writing exactly four pages a day, well I think there's probably a problem there.
Additionally, I can't imagine completing a novel that size in a month.

I don't think you're going to have a problem with inspiration Andorus... it doesn't look like it's absolutely necessary. The site says they're stressing "quantity over quality" and the seat-of-the-pants approach....
All in all, it's quite an intriguing idea.

Randall--oh yeah, I know. I just want to try to see if I can...I think everyone else involved is a lot older than I am, truthfully. :P And I know about inspiration...I just want a couple of ideas to work into the overall amount of crap I'll probably be cranking out on a daily basis. I write now and then, and am kind of steeling myself for this. (I'll probably be recuperating for a couple of months after, too.)
