Ogre War
I started an Ogre warrior and put most of my points into STR and AGI. I had no idea what I was doing.

I talked to some other warriors who said not to worry too much about what stats I take, there is lots of equip out there to bring up whatever stat I need.

But I miss alot. When grouped, I often only hit once every 2 or 3 swings. What can I do about that?

And how do I raise weapon skills that I've never used? I'm currently level 30 and have maxed 2hblunt, 2hslash, and 1hslash. When I try to use piercing or 1hblunt I hardly hit anything at all, Do I just equip them anyways and let my group think I suck?

How important is dex and agi compared to str and ac? I figured because my str was already very high I should try to raise dex and agi. So I got myself gem inlaid gaunts, 2 serpentine bracers, and a giant snakespine belt. Would I be better off losing that stuff and equiping items with more ac?

Re: Ogre War
Stats overall don't do much, you just want to make sure you have 75 agility or higher.(big AC penalty if lower)

stats also don't have anything to do with hit rate.. only your skill level + level determine that.. like max skill + blue mob = easy to hit while low skill or red mob you may miss alot.

Try finding a fast piercer or 1hb to go in the 2nd hand and just fight non stop, skills will eventually go up. It would help to put 20 or so points in each one to start if you're at 0 in each.. the first 10 skill points can be really slow.

2nd hand damage is neglible compared to primary until high levels so it wouldn't matter so much even if the 2nd hand training weapon is really bad.. just as long as it's fast.

Re: Ogre War
Don't worry much about the stats that you put your pt's into I did the same thing with my Oga(str & dex is where I put mine). Zarec makes very valid points and follow them they are true. I'm now 53rd with basically doing what you did so don't fret about your start and you know what if your that worred about it, start over.
The most important thing is that your happy with your char and will have fun playing him/her.
