Ocean Girl Repeats (Australia Only)
The first year of Ocean Girl is screening again on ABC at 5:30 pm on Friday.
That totally threw me off. I've been scouring the channel Ten listings [i]forever[/i] looking for the repeats. This problem caused me to miss the first two episodes I've never seen the Ocean Girl episodes (I didn't find out about the show until [i]after[/i] all the episodes were screened, I'd [b]REALLY[/b] like to talk to the publicity people about that!!! ). And I didn't really want to miss any!!! The channel thing caused a problem.
They screened the third episode today, with Neri getting caught in the drift net and taking the Bates brothers to her island.

when you say first year... do you mean only the first season? 'cuz i saw the first season and the first few of the second, but that's all that i was able to tape. i know that you live in australia *i think at least* but could you possibly tape the eps for me and send them? if you email me (girlchick0688@netscape.net) i will give you the information. also, if anyone needs the full first season i can send it to them - email me. all tapes are in the standard US format, i'm not quite sure what it is but i can find out. thank you!

Yes, I mean the first season. I think of shows in years (not seasons). I do live in Australia. They've started the second year/season here now. I'm uncertain about mailing from Australia. I did internet ordering once from a mail-order company and while the items were cheap enough (even with exchange rates), the mail order charge (to ship them here) became prohibitively high. But they were using a international courier service or something.
I think the standard US format is NTSC. Australians (and Europe) use the PAL format. But I don't have a means to duplicate my tapes. Once I make a recording, I can't copy it.
I can create MPEG copies of the shows (I have the equipment to do this), but my video-to-computer equipment is a little old. The MPEGs are playable (at least for me), but are incompatible with the VCD format (like DVDs, only don't store as much). If you don't mind this format (it's not as high quality as analog video tapes), I could make some.
