Our story begins with the arrival of a mysterious letter to Hawk Haven. On the outside of the letter stats SilverHawks R.I.P. and on the other side is a wax seal marked with an eagle and an arrow going though it.
"What in blue havens is going on here!!" Yelled Commander Stargazer.
"A letter just arrived Commander, but I don't like what it says already." Holding the letter is no other then Lt. Quicksilver, the top SilverHawk of his time. "The envelope says 'Silverhawks R.I.P.' and on the back of it is Tallyhawk with an arrow though him."
Having just finished putting on the new thermal armor and upgrading the weapons on the Maraj, the Steel Twins walk in and see the expression of the two and ask "What's wrong" in stereo
Will says "Ya look like it's third and long with forty yards to go and no game plan!"
"Ya, and commander you look whiter then normal." Pipes in Emily.
"Afternoon Steel Twins. The Lieutenant has some fan mail that doesn't look good."
"Somebody has it out for the SilverHawks and I believe they mean business." Says Quicksilver.
Suddenly alarms go off and everybody runs for the command deck. On a monitor everyone notices the Copper Kidd floating in space, just outside the Main Hanger Bay. The Image they see is the Copper Kidd, badly beaten, laser wounds through his chest and his entire left leg was missing from the upper thigh down, a bloody appendage was all that remained.
"Great Caesars Ghost!!. Somebody get out there and rescue the Kidd NOW!!" Shouts Commander Stargazer.
Quicksilver runs out, along with the twins to the elevator, along the way he tosses the letter onto one of the com panels. The Elevator doors open up all three pile in, the doors shut and the elevator descends rapidly to the hanger bay.
The Elevator doors open up and the three heroes rush out. Quicksilver sprints along the hanger bay floor, leaping suddenly as his heel jets ignite he deployed his wings. The Twins ran over to the com panel and type in '55932' which was the activation ode to the Hawk Haven Emergency Retrieval System and Medical Bay.
Ounce Outside Quicksilver does an inverted 180 to get optimal contact with less chance of risk to himself.
Inside, the hanger floor opens out and a huge retractable arm rises up with a control panel next to it. On the East wall of the hanger the wall itself segmented horizontally then suddenly dropped straight down into the floor reveling the emergency medical bay.
Will rushed to the control panel of the retractable arm, and Emily rushed into the med bay to prep the hydro-rejuv-construction chamber and several I.V.S. of Quasine, a potent painkiller that was designed for the Mimian race, yet was lethal to humans.
Now Quicksilver has made physical contact with the Kidd. "Hey Kidd, wake up, come on Kidd speak to me, Will get me the @#%$ arm Now! Em, he's hurt bad, my bio-reader says he's hearts not even beating. Will get me That God Damn Freaking arm now Damn it!!"
"I'm on it LT., but the hydraulics' on this thing have sprung a leak. This thing hasn't been used in over a hundred and fifty Limbo years. We never thought to maintain it or even upgrade it!"
"Will, don't worry about it Little Bro. I'll help you."
"NO!!! I'll just fly him in myself. Just Get the landing Nets ready. I'll just-"
There was a loud explosion that rocked Hawk Haven to the core as fire and pieces of metal flew into the main hanger like shrapnel from a cannon. Lights flickered and sparked as power surges run wildly though the station. The station gravitation faltered, as a result everything that wasn't bolted down began to float momentarily before the crashing to the ground, many bouncing upwards again as the gravity system kicked in and out again and again. The resulting effect was a ricocheting of extremely heavy and massive equipment as well as smaller objects.
"Twins!" Yelled commander Stargazer thought he com system. "What just happened? I lost contact with Quicksilver. All my screens are dead and the environmental systems are starting to fail."
"The Copper Kidd exploded Commander, taking Quicksilver with him. I think you should call a red alert and get all SilverHawks back to the station immediately" says Emily as she floated in the med bay area, slightly injured and out of breath from having to dodge the shattered glass and other objects. "Will's out of the game for the moment Coach, I'm trying to get him back."
Commander Stargazer floated to the central core of the command level. Once there he had to clear some debris out of the way to reach a shielded button marked Hawk's Cry. 'I thought I'd never have to use this again in all my years of service. Not after the last time.' he thought with a weary spirit.
As he pushed the button, Tallyhawk took off from his perch in the commanders office, exiting though his special door. He flew out to the beak of the Hawk Haven, landing on the special perch that was designed just for him. As he landed a small robotic arm came out of the beak, just behind Tally, and connected to his cybernetics. Tallyhawk let loose a cry unlike any every heard by the current SilverHawks.
The two eyes of Hawk Haven lit up in an electric blue hue The two eyes of Hawk Haven lit up in an electric blue hue as the wings started to furl inwards, sealing off the badly damaged main entrance of the hanger bay.
TallyHawk's eyes start to glow red, a red that looks like hot crimson blood on an afternoon sun. The two small lasers, emitted from his eyes, start a search pattern, criss-crossing back and forth though the debris left from the explosion. As TallyHawk's lasers continue the standard pattern, a signal is sent to the main antenna calling for the return of all SilverHawks.

Also happening in Limbo Galaxy.....
Hardware, being strapped for cash as usual, decided to make a withdrawal from Dolar, the Bank world. He devised a plan of sneaking in a droid, via an armored transport, that would disable the shields for him.
No unfortunately some of the parts had to go though Fense, and after making a brief stop there, Bluegrass learned that Hardware was up to trouble. Again.
"Anythin' that Horney-Toad gets into is a bad bet..." Bluegrass muttered to himself as he went to investigate after throwing the bodies under a table. It was just a hop skip and a jump out the door to the Sprinthawk. "Dang blasted ship. Of all time for the Maraj to be stuck in the barn getting spruced up."
Upon arriving in the airspace about Dolar, Bluegrass spotted Hardware and his new creation, Tailgunner, working their way down the shield tower. They had already disabled the first two layers by the time Bluegrass got within range.
"Mahaah hwwaa hhwaaaa....Won't Mon*Star be happy that my new robot works like a charm. I'll bet Mon*Star will even pay me this time around. Haaww heeehh heeehh, that is, after I take what he ows me first!" the troll like creature cackled to itself.
A series of mid-range short beeps sounded from Tailgunner.
"Yeah, yeah, what ever you box of bolts. I created ya so I can dismantle ya! Now keep shooting!" Hardware bellowed at the Robot.
As Bluegrass pulled up to Dolar he noticed a new robot with Hardware. The pair were pulling a heist, attempting to get into the money vaults below. He made a check of the area to be sure it was just the twisted mechanical genius and spotted the Commander's hawk, Slybird recording the event.
"Stupid silver turkeys, they won't know what happened till it's too late. Mmwwhhaaa hhaaa haaa." Hardware bragged as Tailgunner took out the last shield generator as well as the communications array.
With a creaking grown, the tower, having taken so much damage, started to tilt dangerously. Threatening to snap in half at the charred spot that was once the last shield generator.
"Thunder and tarnation. If I don't act fast, that there horny-toad and his tin bucket sidekick is gonna take off with the money." he commented as he started his attack run. "Yeeeeehhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwww!!" He yelled as he came out of the Artificial sun, using it's glare to blind them.

With a couple of good shots, Bluegrass disabled Tailgunner and singed Hardware's left arm, leaving a trail of blacken charred flesh.
Hardware leapt behind a previously downed armored transport, then yanked off his backpack and unrolled it. From the vast array of pieces and parts he started to assemble a plasma rifle. Though it took slightly longer then normal due to his injured arm.
Bluegrass slid the canopy back and launched Sideman with a yipping cry. "YippieKiiaaa Sideman. Time to round up this here ornery critter." 'what I wouldn't give to have the Hotseat and my Sonic Guitar about now' he thought to himself.
Sideman dived to the left of the downed transport as Slybird got into the act and dove to the right. Bluegrass set the autopilot for the Sprinthawk to evade automatically as he sent it over the transport. At the last moment, he leapt from the vehicle, landing lightly in front of the transport.
Hardware had just completed the rifle when pilot less ship sailed overhead. Looking up as it passed over he brought the riffle up and took aim thinking the SilverHawk pilot was still in the ship. He started firing at the underbelly, scoring hits on important systems causing the ship to belly flop as it skidded to a landing.
Before he could take aim at the more vital engines, a streaking, whitish blur came in from the left. With talons outstretched, Sideman made a snatch and grab of the plasma rifle, knocking Hardware?s arm out wide to the right. "Wha?.." He bellowed in surprise, reaching for his pack to grab a spare hand blaster. As he did so, a second blur, this time coming from the right, snatched the end of the roll yanking it out of his reach. "Hey!....." he shouted a second time. With his arms out, he was unbalanced slightly causing him to have to windmill them a moment to keep from falling flat on his face.
While Hardware was busy, Bluegrass had slipped stealthy over the top of the transport. Taking advantage of the Mobsters moment of distraction, he leapt down, knocking Hardware forwards onto his stomach. While doing so he grabbed both of Hardware's arms and wrenched them behind his back and cuffed them. Hardware bellowed in pain as the SilverHawk twisted his injured arm about.
The battle was over and Hardware was captured. It had taken all of 15-20 seconds. But he was finally going away.
"Arrrghh........Mon*Star will get me out, you silver plated chicken. Mon*star can't afford to have me stay in Jail. You just wait and see...."
"Well Hardware, you seemed to have been hornswaggled. That nasty piece of rolling Red thunder you call a boss aint gonna like it when he finds out you been trying to go behind his back by trying to break into Dolar all by your lonesome." Bluegrass smirked. "Whooaa doggie. Looks like I even beat the skipper's record for the fastest arrest."
Right about then, Hardware glaring over his shoulder at Bluegrass, spotted the trans-light signal coming from the direction of Hawk Haven. Bluegrass was seemingly unaware of it until it passed over Dolar.
"Huh? Whaaa?...." Bluegrass started to say before blacking out momentarily. His full weight in the back of Hardware's back and legs.
"Get off me you twisted Bird! I aint inta that." Hardware growled as he tried to squirm out from under Bluegrass.
Bluegrass came around with a groan, one hand reaching for his head. "Aww man... looks like you just got a temporary pardon." he said as he got up off of Hardware, accidentally stepping on Hardware's wounded arm.

Bluegrass had gone to the Sprinthawk and climbed in to survey the damage. what he found was not good. Not only had the Navigation system been knocked off line, but so had the communications and weapons. "Aaawww Dang it." he said with a sigh. Pushing his hat back on his head he scratched his forehead. "Well old boy. Hope ya can still get me where I need ta go." He hit the sequence to bring the power back up and bring the engines online. "Skippers gonna have a field day busting my chops for letting the Sprinthawk get damaged, arrest or no arrest." After a moment of sputtering the engines came online. Seeing little other means of getting space born again, he throttled the it up to full and shoved the stick forward. After a long agonized screech of metal on metal, the Sprinthawk was once again in flight and making a bee line to Hawk Haven.
As events took place on Dolar, Skyshadow watched. He had been at a safe distance, there for wasn't spotted. Without a sound he turned his head and sent the footage to Fortress Brim*star.
Yesman was slithering about the Throne room, puttering around with this or that as he waited on whatever orders he would receive from the Planet Master. Ever so often he would glance at the Mob leader, who was perched on his throne, brooding. As he glanced up yet again, he spotted the incoming signal from Skyshadow and rushed to the control panel.
"Oohh Boss... Boss.. Skyshadow must have found something!" the snake man said.
"Shut up worm and play the message," Growled the Planet Master, not having moved at all except for his single eye.
"Certainly Boss.. Oh yes...yes.. at once," fawned the lackey. Both watched as the events were played out again.
A soft, yet deadly growl came from Mon*star as he narrowed his eye, the other glowing an unholy crimson. His taloned fingers clenched on the arms of the throne as thoughts of rebellion and betrayal from the money hungry mechanic crossed his mind.
Yesman cringed at the sound. He knew that when Mon*Star was angry, someone paid for it, usually him! He just curled himself down, trying to make himself smaller so he wouldn't attract the Plant Master's attention as the footage came to an end.
"Yesman, tell Buzz-Saw and WindHammer to retrieve Hardware." Mon*star said in a strangely calm, yet deep and chilling voice.
"Buzz-Saw and WindHammer.. Got you boss.. Yes... Oh yes... right." said the cowardly snake as he uncoiled and activated the communications panel.
After several static filled minutes, in which Yesman was starting to get very nervous, WindHammer answered.
"WindHammer here."
"Windy.. The boss wants you and Buzz-saw to go to Dolar and get Hardware. That SilverHawk pilot managed to capture him." Yesman said.
"Ha! Why should I-"
"Because I said So." Mon*Star growled from over Yesman's shoulder. He had silently walked up to the com panel.
WindHammer swallowed several times before answering. "Yes Planet Master. We'll take care of it."
"You had better..." Mon*star said as he started to walk away. "...Or else." he commented as an after thought.
Retrieving the cuffed mechanic was easy.
"So where's your pack?" Windhammer asked snidely.
"Shut up, Windy," the mechanic replied, groaning
"Heh heh heh," Buzzsaw chuckled in his peculiar monotone. "I bet that SIlverhawk ended up with it. You miss your blankey already, Hardware?"
The mechanic just groaned. "Stuff it. I'll get it back. And I'll get that Tin Turkey when I do."
The entire trip back was spent this way. The pair heckling him.
Hardware on the other hand was still mad because he had been captured, as well as his backpack being absconded with. He alternated between cursing, growling and general carrying on, to whimpering softly from the pain in his arm.
As the three Mobsters approached Brim*Star, they spotted an armored transport leaving.

As soon as the Limbo Limo landed inside the hanger area of the fortress, Hardware bolted to the throne room. The two other mobsters exchanged looks a moment, Windhammer just shrugged and headed to the landing platform. He always perfered to be outside of the place rather then inside. Better access to the weather.
"Hey Windy, You ready to go? Got to go pick up the rest of the gang over at the casino." the annoying high pitched voice of Meloda came from witnin the hanger. "Come on. Move it Blondie." She screeched again as she hit the horn.
"All right, all right. Don't get your panties in a twist." Windhammer yelled.
She hit the horn again. Just to annoy him.
"Keep it up and I'll shove this tuning fork right up your skirt and give you real whirlly gig." he growled at her.
As soon as Windhammer was in the Limo, Melodia floored the gas and the pair was gone.
Buzz-Saw on the other had was still laughing as he followed Hardware up the ramp to the throne room.
"Hey, hey Planet Master... those Silverhawks are up to something-"
" NOT now Hardware!" commanded the Mob leader. "I'll deal with you as soon as I finish counting my new found gold," Mon*Star said as he turned back to what he was doing.
"What?.... What gold? I didn't get... any... " As Hardware followed Mon*Star's gaze, he saw the two huge piles of gold brinks. His jaw dropped as his eyes got huge, a hand going to his empty wallet.
"Oohhh...Yes, yes..." the snake man lackey said as he came around the side of one of the piles, which was easily as tall as the snake was long. "It seems Mon*Star.. Ooh Yess Mon*Star... Has some new found...ohh...ohhh...new found allies.. oohh yess yess...." rubbing his hands together.
"What do you mean you slithering idiot. Where'd you get this loot? and Where's MY Cut?!?!?!!!" Hardware yelled as he advanced on the pile of nice shiney, lovely, wealth that could get him a new pack as well as other dream goodies. Greed sparkled from his trollish face.
"All this gold..oohh gold..is for Mon*Star.. yes yes... He got this letter too... Oh yess... " the snake man said as he pulled a letter from jacket pocket. "heh heh heh...Ohh It has a picture of a dead Tally Hawk... hehe Ohhh yess.. I think I'll have it made into a T-Shirt" waveing the said letter about as he blocked Hardware from getting to the gleaming metal.
As Yesman was leaving the Thrownroom, cackling to himself about t-shirts designs and selling them on Fense, a huge explosion rocked the entire fortress.
Hardware was slamed through the floors by the force, ending up in the dungeons on the lowest floor. While Mon*Star was blasted out of the throne room, into the lower part of Skyrunner's stable, where he was sucked into the waste disposal tube used when cleaning the stable. It quickly and efficently shot him out to the landfill area next to the planet eater.
Unfortantly as this all happened, Buzz-Saw entered the room and was completly eradicated in the blast. While Yesman was picked up and thrown like a helpless rag doll at the mercy of an angry child in a tantrum. His tail was severly damanged and his right arm obliterated in a shower of blood, flesh and bone. His face as well as his chest also recieved damage from everything.
A twist of fate allowed Melodia and Windhamer to escape
unharmed, having left prior to the events, to pick up Timestopper as well as Mumbo Jumbo.
After the explosion, automatic robots activate and started the repair and cleaning. Mon*star came in and the medical robots came to his aide. In a fit of rage he ripped one to shreds and kept walking, collapsed soon after. Hardware, being the only one that still up and about, walking wonded as it were, took over the chore of keeping the repairs going. As he looked though the rubble of the throne room, he came across the letter that Yesman had so proudly been waving about.

Back on Hawk Haven, repairs are being done by the Steel Twins. Commander Stargazer is trying to contact headquarters and Tally Hawk finally returns after hours of searching. Bluegrass, having arrived in a battle damaged Sprinthawk, found that he could not land in the main hanger as he had intended, due to the fact that the main hanger was sealed off.
"What in tarnation is going on? What the h*ll happened here? That fat B*stard of a wana be toad shot out my com system and now I can't tell anyone I'm here and with the weapon out, knocking at the front door won't work now!" Bluegrass muttered under his breath. He was rambling to himself more then usual. "Oh, lookie here.... Quickie's little Stupid hunk of tin-plated space junk wanna be Maraj is just about outta gas. Can this day get any better?" He just sat leaning into the back of the pilot's seat when the hinge pin snapped, causing the seat to lay fully back. "Damn....I had ta open my big mouth." he muttered. Opening the canopy, he tossed Sideman and Slybird out telling them to let someone know he was out there and was waiting to get into the auxillery bay.
As Sideman and Slybird enter Hawk Haven, they find Stargazer still trying to get in contact with Headquarters back on earth. It seemed Earth was having problems of their own.
"What in Blue blazes is happening back there!" The commander demanded to know
"Commander Stargazer, we have a new gang running around here. It's like the early Mon*Star years all over again," a slight pause "except, No Silverhawks. The first thing hit was the Academy. The death toll is at 4000 and rising."
"Damn. We lost two 'Hawks here and the station is out of commision for the next 3-4 days for repairs. The Steel Twins tell me they will try their best to get it done quicker then that." Stargazer said. "As for this new gang, I'm dealing with the Old Mon*Star and he's worse."
"Sorry Commander, we simply have no reserves to send you. But we do have a supply ship ready to go with your 3 'Hawks, Condor, Hotwing and MoonStryker, escorting it back. Do you need any other supplies?"
"Well, since I can't get those Hawks I want, I'll take my stuff in storage in area 51 instead." Stargazer shot back, then chuckled to himself. "I picked it up when I was a lot younger, you get my drift?"

The Commader thought for a moment then continued. "I could also use an Alpha 9125, A Betta 1124, and a couple of X-2134's."
"I'm sorry sir. But I'll need Authorization for your reqest. As for your personal items they will be loaded and shipped ASAP."
"Ok. Authorization code: Silverhawk Final Call Alpha Beta X Deadend 943112"
A moment passed before a digitized voice replied. {Authorization code confirmed. Approval for Doomsday weapon, Ultra Shield and Last Resort.}
"Alright Commander, these items will be loaded along with everything else." The General sarcasticly adds "Would you like the kitchen sink too?"
"Naa, already got one of those." Stargazer cracked back. "I guess that will do for now. Just let us know when you can send back up."
"Yes Sir Commander. I just hope we can take care of this new threat. It's a lot more different then anything else we'v-" sudden white noise blared over the speakers.
The digitized voice of the station computer took over. {Signal lost. Earth Orbital relays status: off line.}
Stargazer mumbled to himself in a low voice as he slammed his fist onto the desk. "Damn." Having just noticed Sideman and Slybird landing on the bull horn perch affixed to the wall, he glared angrily at the pair. "Where in Limbo is that blasted no good cowboy at?"
Slybird turned his head, projecting an image of Bluegrass in a badly damanged SprintHawk. A second image showed the closed doors of the auxillary hanger bay. A third image appeared, that of the first two overlapped.
"Eh.. So he want's in does he?" the mechaincal eyepiece whirred and clicked as it unfocused then refocused. He hit the PA system button. After several moments of squealing and crackling it came to life. "...is ....wor ...fu ...pi ...it... *Kaarackkk* There. Twins, I need you to open the Auxillary bay doors pronto. Do it by hand if you have to but get them open. The Cowboy is out there in a battered Sprinthawk, probably unconsious. So have the medical droid standing by. Just in case."
"Aye, Aye commander." SteelWill grunted as he was lifting two main support beams off the Maraj.
"You got it Chief." SteelHeart said as she was prepping the med bay for any hope of survivors.
As Stargazer was reviewing the vid that Sideman was projecting, he caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of his organic eye. Turning his head he spotted the letter that started it all, laying on the floor in his office.

As he went to retrieve the letter, Mayday flew in and landed on the horn perch afixed to the wall. He settled next to both Sideman, Slybird and Tallyhawk.
Now this took the commander by surprise, due to the fact he never left the Kidd's side when he went out on long range patrols.
"Mayday, what happened to the Kidd?"
^Me Sir?^ whistled the Kidd.
As Commander Stargazer turned to see where this old and familar voice came from, he saw the Copper Kidd sliding in though Tallyhawk's chute.
"Boy if you aint a site for this old eye to see. We thought you were killed along with Quicksilver. Where in Limbo where you and what happened?"
The kidd took a deep breath, placing his two fingere against his lip and started his babbling report. ^Iwentonpatrollikeyouordered Wentallthewaytotheartificalsun
andcheckedinwithprofessorPower andofftothelightyearlimit^ he huffed a moment then continued. ^IwashalfwaythroughwhenIgotthesignalandcamehere ThebayisclosedoffandBluegrasisgoingthroughtheauxillerybay AndIdon'tknowwhy.^ He rubbed the front of his throat then took off again. ^SoIparkedmyspaceraceroutsideofTallyhawkslaunchtube
andfollowedMaydayin. And what do you mean Quicksilver is Dead??^ The Kidd then collapsed in exhaustion on the floor.
Stargazer rubbed the metalic half of his head, the internal translator working over time in deciphering the Kidd's language. He started to help the Copper Kidd off the floor when the Steel Twins and the Cowboy walked in.
"No disrespect Chief, but what in tarnation is going on here? I just caught Hardware and had to leave. Quicksilver is dead, with the Kidd, and Hawk Haven looks like the cheese on yesterday's sandwich."
"Well Colonel, it started with that letter, which now that you mention it, has not been opened yet." and with that Stargazer exited his office, heading to the command center to retrieve the letter off the floor. As he left the office, everyone crowded around the Kidd.
SteelHeart grabbed his hand, shaking it firmly then yanked him close to give him a kiss on the cheek, causing him to blush almost as red as his armor. Bluegrass slapped him on the back, knocking him forward into SteelWill, saying "Glad to have ya around partner." Having been unintentionaly slammed into Will, he found himself lifted into the air and nearly crushed to death by Will's mamoth bear hug.
After a long and drawn out pause, Commander Stargazer punches a hole in the solid wall of Hawk Haven, all the way up to his bionic elbow. " Mon*Star!! You will pay for this with your life, even if I have to go down with you."
And with that he storms off down below, as the rest of the 'Hawks walk over to the dropped letter. Emily picks it up and reads out loud, with her brother and Bluegrass looking over her shoulder. The Kidd was perched on Will's massive shoulder.
"Play time is Over Silverhawks,
Now you Die - Mon*Star"
A look of pure vengence sweeps over the 'Hawks. It's open season on Mon*Star and the 'Hawks talons are bared for the kill.
