Re: New Here! Awesome Site!
This is an awesome site. In fact I know you guys from the gym...you would recognize me too, if I could figure out how to post my pic :)
You guys should really be proud of your achievement - really outstanding. But also, you should be really proud of how much you have positively impacted other peoples' lives through sharing your wisdom. I know that I have been able to (finally) make some some real headway on my own quest to build my ideal body. Thanks!!!
Re: New Here! Awesome Site!
Hey there,
you can email us a pic to loriann@timetoemerge.com or fitchic3@hotmail.com and we'll post it for you asap...this board isn't very user friendly when it comes to posting photos
I have sent along a pic, and will send more as I get leaner...I have made some changes to my training (moved to a 4 day split from a 3 day split), and to my diet over the last 3 weeks, and all I can say is that you guys are geniuses. I have already started to see some fat loss, and muscle gain.
Re: New Here! Awesome Site!
"you guys"??? The diet and training info is mine, Im the genius!!
Hey Wayne, saw the pic and of course know who you are, nice to see you here. For those that dont know him this guy is a couple years older than me and always in great shape, and has a sweet car.
Welcome aboard!
Darrin
PS, we are having issues posting the pic but Lori-Ann says it should be up soon.

I finally got over my mental fixation with gaining "weight", and am trying to really get as lean as I can, while still building muscle.
I have always been athletic, but started weight training about 4 years ago largely because I was very skinny, and wanted to "bulk up". In my quest to gain weight, I have tried many approaches to training and diet (including the infamous "see-food" diet), and was able to pack on the beef. But guess what? I still wasn't happy with the way I looked...
I ended up gaining around 50 lbs of "beef", from around 145lbs to 195lbs, but my BF% increased tremendously also..
Anyway, I'm now focused on getting lean and mean.
From an age and genetics standpoint, how difficult do you think this will be (I will be 40 in January)? I'm not looking to compete or anything, but I want to be very lean and muscular (and be able to maintain it throughout the year).
