Need a Custom Template? Well AoS is here and I know MANY of you are thinking about your current templates. In the past few weeks I have had an inane amount of people coming to me about what they should do for templates. I enjoy making templates and those who know me know that I spend countless hours making templates testing them out and tinkering with them. In fact I put alot of thought into my templates to the point where I some times eat, sleep, and think of nothing but templates at times (Yeah im sad, but my lameness turns into others power). Anyway, as AoS released I began to build my own templates based around my characters Roleplay and PvP and my own personal PvP experience. I continued to do research and testing of the new improved skills and abilities of each character type and began to paint a clearer picture of the real power of every skill. While doing this Tenebrous and I began discussing his character and I decided to take on a personal mission to create what I felt his template should be based on his personal RP for the character, is PvP capabilities and eventually I came up with a very customized template for him that works all the way around. After telling Tenebrous about the template he became very excited and began work on it. As im sure he will testify he has never been happier with his template. This got me to thinking that Im sure there are others out there who would love to have a custom template built specifically for them based around their characters RP in game and their own PvP capabilities. Because of this I've decided to offer my services for a minimal fee (UO gold) and do the same thing. I would teach you how to use the template, give you specifics of why you have each skill, how it works with all your others, your strengths, weakness's, the equipment that would best accompany your template. And even be a punching bag for you to test your template on. What I would need from any interested parties would be a writeup or refrences to your character's RP the more you can get me the better. I would also need to know what your comfortable with in the way of PvP and any specifics you would like (for instance you prefer swords over fencing, that kind of thing). I would then begin the processes. Mind you however that I put ALOT of thought and time into these templates and as they would be PERSONAL and CUSTOM tailored to you and your character they CAN TAKE TIME (based on the detail of information you give me.) Tenebrous's template took me about a week to develope, test, and perfect. While creating the template I plan to work very close with each person so that we make sure we get your template just right. So if your interested go ahead and give me an ICQ and we can discuss it (5715253). I will base cost on the amount of time spent making the template but an avg idea would be anywhere from 100k to 300k (300k is the cap I wont go over that unless you REALLY give me a hard time *smirk*)

Cant say it any clearer.
Mord came to me with this idea for a template and I was like...uhmmm...ok... After testing it at only 45% potency, I can honestly say I feel comfortable going toe-to-toe with anyone out there right now. If you are stumped on something, or you are just looking to get some insight on something you are tinkering with...talk to da Prophet. He has obviously spent a lot of time studying this and I can attest to the fruits of his labor. Keep in mind, from what I am seeing Mord wasnt really after the "power" aspect, but more the RP implications when he devised my new "outlook" on AoS. Keep that in mind. For the entire Collective I say this, hes a venerable font of AoS knowledge that the g00dies do NOT have. I urge you all who are wracked in perplexion to exploit it....cuz quite honestly, he clearly loves it. *thanks Mord again for his work and testing* - Tenebrous

Re: Need a Custom Template? I would be interested in your offer, I've never been very good at PvP, and would be willing to pay just for the PvP lessons.. I already have a template, but, would like to hear your take on the strengths and weaknesses of my template.. Arathorn ICQ#86477778

WOOHOO! OK, first off, pre AoS Ren or Adaron were quite skilled fighters. I even had some who feared the Atalan named Adaron. But now that AoS has hit, I felt like I wasn't good enough. My template was just not hacking it... So, I heard how happy Tenebrous the Ketchup was, and I went straight to Mord. Lets just say, I harrassed him probably more than any human can possibly do so to another. I bugged him everyday about my template and asked a bazillion questions. He kept his ideas to himself and his template for me even farther in the dungeon. This infuriated me but I had full confidence in his ability to help me. I mean.... he worked for 2 whole days on just the armor I would wear! Finally one day, after just over a week's work, Mord finally PMed me, "I GOT IT!" ..... the prophet had achieved his goal. He had created a template for Adaron, that was so original, yet so simple for me to use. We went to the test centre, and both tried out the template. It was both fun and deadly AND it suited Adaron's RP to the fullest degree. Adaron was a hunter before. All I say to you good guys now is, is make sure you aren't the one I am hunting. Because I assure you, you won't make it out alive. Thanks Mord for all your help and for putting up with me for the past week and a bit. |

Re: Need a Custom Template? I too wanted to make some changes to Duran that would better help me RP him to the fullest. After a few days of mulling it over, I decided to throw my ideas to Mord and see what he thought. After a minor change from my idea, we had the template. Im still working making the transition right now, but Im excited to see the end result of all this. I would highly recommend talking to Mord if you have the slightest thought about changing your characters template. |
