I got tired of waiting for servers so I am hosting my own! This mod is too good to let it just sit around. We need more servers, as I can only run mine at night time (EST).
I am going to try this out, running 1.14b from midnight (EST) until I need to use the computer the next day. Some days it will be up earlier, depending on what I need to use the computer for. (I don't want a laggy server.)
So come check out QuickDraw. I am running all the maps in rotation and enabled voting. Plus I don't want to run around the maps all by myself!
Unfortunately I am having some problems that is forcing me to reneg on my offer to put up a server.
Twice now after the process of installing and starting a server I can no longer play regular wolf, getting the error message of a missing default.cfg. I'm thinking it may have something to do with changing the name of the main directory.
Also I was getting kicked off my own server because of "Empty CD key not allowed on this server". I changed some variables in the .cfg but now I can't even play somebody else's server, getting an INVALID CD_KEY error upon joining a game.
It looks like I am going to have to reinstall everything again . I'll do it and hopefully start beta testing soon.
Looking forward to a US server
There's a "WildWest server admins" section in the www.gamingforums.com WildWest forum. www.gamingforums.com/foru...orumid=254
I'm looking forward to a server on this side of the pond! Good luck

Hey El Furniturio ,
Yes you won't be able to run a WW server and play RtCW
from the same installation, however, if you have the HD space,
it can be done
simply install Wolf, patch to 1.41, install WW & patch to 1.14b
then make a new RtCW folder (you can call it what ever you like)
then copy all the files and folders from within your original
RtCW folder into this new one. (you don't need to copy
the "main" folder)
Now use this copied folder to run a server from, make a short
cut to the copied wolfmp.exe, and add the following to the shortcut:
+set fs_game WildWest +set dedicated 2 +set net_port 27961 +exec wildwest_server
Start the WW server by running this shortcut, you can edit
the wildwest_server.cfg with your own preferences.
With this done, you can now run either RtCW or join the WW
server from your original installation
I have presumed a few things here, if you don't understand
something I've said, just ask
btw, what type of connection do you have ? if your upload
speed is under 256K you're not gona be able to host many
players, with 256up you can host 10-14 players, but you
will need to change the sv_maxrate to "3750" or players will
get lag.
Thanx for trying to setup a server over there, I will have to
bug the admin of the rtcwworld.com server to restart the
map rotation, so players can join (I have asked already, but
he obvioulsy didn't think it was worth doing !!)
