I push the hell out of my female clients just like I would a guy. Start her slow but gradually increase the intesity so that she is failing between 8-12 reps. this will maintain the muscle while she diets to lose the fat.
Follow the routines for beginner and up with her that I have laid out in I Built This. As for the body comp, again look in my book. THis may be "normal" or average but it is not healthy, according to the body comp charts I have a woman between the ages 40-49 year clinically obese at over 35.1%. Regardless of height this is the classification. The same health concerns are there that would be there for someone 100lbs overweight. Make sure she stops the weight watchers crap and starts doing what you are doing. Weight watchers is why her BF keep creaping up.
