Ok, I know you all can't tell me exactly why because, well you can't see her or anything, but some suggestions might help. basically I'm looking to hear that it wasn't the dehorning paste that did it. (please tell me if you think it was though) anyways, we had a kid, about 2 months old. 8-9 days ago we applied the paste, and removed the billy (he was very protective of her) anyways, we followed the dehorning directions to the letter and were very careful. she was checked every day to make sure there were no holes or any apparent problems, everything seemed normal enough. Her horns started turning brown about 2 days ago, that was the only difference that was observed. Anyways, Yesterday approx 8 days after application, she was found dead in her little house. The guy thinks it was exposure to the elements, there were no signs of trauma on her little body, no holes in her head were the horns were. I thought it also could have been worms, I know goats are awful suseptible (sp) to worms. what do you all think, was it the dehorning paste? illness? worms? exposure? Please be kind when posting, I feel bad enough already. thanks
