MY PRIDE AND JOY
he's my pride and joy
my little boy
don't know what i'd ever do without
the one that makes me want to shout
with love that fills me up inside
sometimes so much that i have cried
with tears of love
cuz he was sent from above
the moment i laid eyes on him
i knew my life would truly begin
my reason for living
i could never stop giving
all that i am
to my little man
my life has never been the same
since this precious baby came
if i should ever lose my child
and we could not be reconciled
then go ahead and dig my grave
for i could never be so brave
to live without this child of mine
i cannot see that in my mind
each moment i hold him in my arms
everytime he turns on the charm
every wet and sloppy kiss
surely these things my heart would miss
the love in his voice
leaves me no choice
to always give him my very best
until my body is laid to rest...
