I just saw "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" on Tuesday night.
It was sooo good! I loved it, and I saw it with my two best friends from home, so that made it much better. It's definitely a movie to see with best friends or sisters or your mom.
My one friend started crying like 15minutes into the movie, but it wasn't sad at all until like the last 30-45 minutes. Then I started crying. I think we're all just emotional though
Anyways, it was funny, sweet and sad all at the same time. I definitely recommend it. We went late at night so it was like $7? But I would even pay that again to see it in the theater again and it will definitely be on my DVD shelf the day it comes out.
Well, I was supposed to get THREE movies from Blockbuster yesterday but since their delivery service is f-ed up, it's taking forever to get here (from 10 miles away, btw), so I ventured out and used my free coupon to rent "Mean Girls". I saw it in the theater when it came out and liked it, even though I thought it was weird.
I liked it much better the second time. It's just a fun movie to watch. If you're in the mood for some funny, teenage comedy, this is a good one to check out.
Supposedly I'm getting "Hide and Seek", "Love Song for Bobby Long" and "Upside of Anger" today....supposedly
Re: Movies
I think every middle school should show "Mean Girls." You think it's weird, Jen, but sadly it is 100% reality. I think middle school kids could learn a lot from seeing it.
I saw "Finding Neverland" and "Spanglish" for the first times this summer. I saw "Fever Pitch" in the theatre, but that was in like April or May.
I think we're alike. We are two strong independent women who just happen to be sitting here alone at the bar...without our men. - Harley 1998
Re: Movies
I went and saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory today. It was pretty good. Nothing spectacular except for the special effects. Johnny Depp is super creepy in it, but Freddie Highmore (Charlie) stole the show. He's fabulous! (He was also Peter in Finding Neverland)
It's been a while since I saw the original, so I think I'm going to rent it and compare the two.
It was definitely a Tim Burton film though, very Edward Scissorhands/Unfortunate Events feel to it.
Re: Movies
mr. and mrs. smith. the first ten minutes were good, after that the movie went down the hill and straight to hell. i could barely sit through it...
