Most fans I know are pretty single minded, whichever team they choose to root for. Personally, I've known several people who claim they are fans of both teams and I can't understand that. I don't see how you can have equal allegiance to both - either you're a Met fan or a Yucks fan, not both. I just don't get it. I know I couldn't do both.

There are a lot of people who are bandwagon fans, who just get behind a team when they're doing well. For me, that's taking the easy way out. I was brought up in a household of Mets fans (except my dad, he was a Yucks fan), and they taught me that you stand by your team - and your favorite players - no matter what. That's why I use my sig line, courtesy of the Boss (the REAL Boss). As far as I'm concerened, there is no retreat and no surrender...under ANY circumstances.
