I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Darrin & Lori-Ann in person today and they really are the most wonderful people While I was waiting to meet Darrin I looked over and saw this gorgeous woman and it was Kelly Kruus!! Can you believe it, I met all three of them
To make it even more exciting I got to watch Kelly while she was practising her posing. I think I made a fool of myself because I kept raving on about how incredible she looked, truly amazing
Darrin and Lori-Ann are in the most incredible shape as well, I couldn't stop staring at Lori-Ann and you should see her arms
I walked out of the gym with my mouth open because I was stunned how incredible these three people look OK I'll stop raving on
Darrin, thank you so much for meeting with me and it was certainly fantastic meeting you Lori-Ann. Kelly I sincerely appreciate you talking with me and allowing me to watch while you were practicising your posing. I wish you the best of luck for tomorrow
Thanks for the compliments... It was great meeting you today as well I love the fact that you are motivated and eagar to start!!
It's interesting to see athletes who are in contest shape up close and personal that way you have an idea of what you have to do or how far you have go to acheive those goals...Kelly has worked extremely hard and is very disciplined--we are very proud of her!! And ontop of it all she's an awesome person and friend!!
No you didn't make a "fool" of yourself, it gives competitors (in this case both myself and Kelly) confidence because they've worked so hard and for someone to acknowledge their accomplishments is very rewarding.
Re: Met Darrin & Lori-Ann
Hell why did you stop raving, I was just starting to feel my head swell!! I was great meeting you and hopefully we can work together to help you not only acheive your goals but surpass them. From our conversation I feel you have had enough crappy trainers in the past that left you more confused than educated, time for that to come to an end and start heading down the road to a healthy and smoking hot future.
Look forward to seeing you again tomorrow as well as meeting your husband.
Re: Met Darrin & Lori-Ann

Re: Met Darrin & Lori-Ann
You have already done the long part of the process with your weight loss. Now its just a matter (a tricky matter) of fine tuning everything to bring out your absolue best. And you will.
Re: Met Darrin & Lori-Ann
well not only have i met these two wonderful people I just joined the same gym as them.im moving to the same area in a week and let me tell you just seeing Darrin training clients is motivation in its own for me to get my butt back into gear! Kelly also workouts there WOOOHOOO ..... wait til i see LA in action...i'll get back to you girls on how she will kick my butt into serious action again!
Re: Met Darrin & Lori-Ann
By the way, I will be keeping an eye on you. Just because you cant see me doesnt mean I cant see you, i have mastered every mirror reflection in the place. If you slack, your busted, but if you are doing something wrong you can know you will be helped.
Re: Met Darrin & Lori-Ann
uh oh..what have i gotten myself into??!?! hmm maybe for once ill live in the womans only area...just joking..i really am looking forward to meeting and see you both at the gym!
Re: Met Darrin & Lori-Ann
Shees LA..Darrin sounds like Superman...lazer sight...can see through the walls Hope his lazers are not strong enough to reach Hobit Land...otherwise I am in deep trouble
Lori Ann
Im a newbee around here and just love browsing your website for new info. Something caught my eye and I felt that I should have you explain.
I have recently joined an all womens gym (Goodlife actually) and are really enjoying it. Please elaborate on your comment about it being depressing. I find it very inspirational that there is a place for women to go now that they dont feel alienated and are intimidated by the 'buff ones". Some of us do not have the unlimited confidence that you and other bloggers on here do.
Re: Met Darrin & Lori-Ann
Hey Jack4370...welcome to the forum
Christine is a figure competitor "a buff one" and she needs the motivation and drive from using the heavier weights and wider range of machines and equipment--as well as seeing the other girls and GUYS push themselves beyond their limits...Competing is extreme and when you are training, an athlete needs that extra push and to have/build the confidence to be around a wider range of people--if they are putting themselves on stage to be judged they need to be comfortable showing off thier physiques. The woman's only section is very small at our gym and it doesn't give the same inspiration and motivation as being on the floor does for a competitor.
I should have reworded my post....thanks for bringing that to my attention and we look forward to having you on the board
Re: Met Darrin & Lori-Ann
I am not a competitor, however I have been to clubs that are womans only and from my experience (this is only my opinion) i didn't have the same push as i do now at a co-ed establishment (Goodlife as well). My workouts are more intense and I learn a hell of a lot more from watching the men. Everyone has to start somewhere, do whatever you feel you are comfortable with.

Re: Met Darrin & Lori-Ann
Most women I have trained that started out in the womens only area were there due to intimidation. I try to empower them to be in the coed area, the world is coed and you should feel comfortable anywhere. I can understand how some women like being in a womens only area and if it helps you go to the gym since you feel comfortable there that is great. Being in a gym is far more important than what kind or part of the gym you workout in.
In our particular club most women have told me that atmosphere in the womens only section is less than motivating. But we are all motivated by different things, thats what makes us all individuals.
