Meeting at The Hog's Head (Saturday; ISO: DA)
It had been cloudy all week, and Saturday was no exception. As Harry pushed open the door to The Hog's Head, he wished he had worn something warmer than a shirt and jeans. The chilly wind whipped past him into the pub's interior, eliciting angry grumbles from the customers sitting at the bar. Harry shut the door quickly, rubbing his arms in a vain attempt to heat himself up. He approached a long table by the window and looked out at the street beyond.

He had arranged to meet the other members of Dumbledore's Army here at two o' clock this afternoon. With a quick glance at his watch, he saw that he still had ten minutes to wait. Still shivering slightly, he sat down on a stool, his eyes still trained on the road outside.

When he had entered, he had noticed that the bar was relatively empty. The barman had shot Harry a disgruntled glare - he had come to recognise the boy, and the fact that his appearance usually meant the pub would soon be half-full of members of the DA. Harry was grateful that the other patrons took no notice of the business that was being conducted. It was an unspoken agreement; the barman wouldn't mention the contents of the meetings to anybody, and in turn Harry would refrain from commenting on the health regulations that were obviously being broken. Harry had once seen the barman clean a glass with an old sock.

The Boy-Who-Lived was just starting to feel warm again when he spotted someone familiar approaching the pub. He stood up, ready to greet them.

Re: Meeting at The Hog's Head (Saturday; ISO: DA)
Luna Lovegood pushed the door to the Hog's Head open with one hand, her other pressed against her side where she carried several copies of the Saturday Edition of The Quibbler. Her father sent her a bundle of them every day, which she left in random places throughout the school. She knew, inwardly, that many of them ended up in the trash without ever being opened, but occasionally a student would walk by reading it. And that made the whole effort worthwhile.

She let the door close behind her, glancing around the pub, rather surprised that she was one of the first few there. She had taken her time and meandered...perhaps the whole school was running five minutes late. That might make an interesting story...

She saw Harry standing at a table nearby and started towards him, moving across the room, but stopping occasionally to put a copy of the Quibbler down on a random table. She didn't think the bartender would care...and frankly, she didn't care if he Did. He could always just throw them out.

When she reached The Boy Who Lived, she offered him a faint smile and a copy of the paper. "Hello Harry. Is everyone late?" She glanced around the room one more time, and once the paper was taken she slipped past him to sit down in one of the seats at his table. The much diminished stack of Quibblers placed in front of her.

Re: Meeting at The Hog's Head (Saturday; ISO: DA)
Hermione pushed her way through the crowds of people with difficulty, muttering apologies to those she bumped into. It wasn't so much that Hogsmeade was crowded as the fact that she was in a hurry that was detaining her. She had stopped to admire a pair of golden scales encrusted with rubies, and her imagination had run slightly wild imagining the feats she could accomplish if she had them when she had realized that she was going to be late to a DA meeting. Now, the flow of people seemed to all be heading in the opposite direction she wanted to go, and she was having trouble navigating at her higher speed. She had never been much of a speed walker when it came to busy streets, and now was no exception. Of course, she couldn't blame anybody for wanting to go the other way.

She couldn't see why anyone would want to visit the dingy, dirty, and completely unsanitary pub of their own will. Of course, it was pretty much necessary to have the DA meetings there, especially now that they were going to be helping the Order out - the secrecy was vital, and the pub was nearly always uncrowded. She had been brainstorming lately, and thinking of the way the glasses all had a dirty tint to them when they drank their butterbeer, and she was beginning to think of trying to convince Harry to have everyone meet at the Shrieking Shack, instead. Some people might carry superstitions about it, but for heaven's sake, she was certain if you looked hard enough, you would be able to see the germs crawling around. Not to mention that the barkeep gave her the creeps.

It took her eyes a moment to adjust to the dim lighting as she pushed through the door. Once her vision was regained, she immediately spotted Harry and Luna at a table near the back. She was slightly concerned as she noted The Quibbler laying on many of the tables she passed, although she had the sneaking suspicion that Luna had something to do with it. Sure enough, once she got close enough, she could see a small pile sitting in front of the other girl. A small smile quirked at the corner of her mouth as she resolved not to say anything about the credibility of the magazine. After all, there was now proof that a truthful article was published, on occasion.

"Hello Harry, Luna," she greeted as she approached, "Nobody else here yet, hmm? And I was afraid I was going to be late."

She idly reached out and grabbed a copy of The Quibbler from in front of Luna. A bemused smile played at her lips as she read the rather...interesting...magazine articles promised inside. She shot Harry a bit of a conspirational look over the top of the pages, knowing that he would have noticed by now her resolve not to make a derogatory comment about the magazine.

"Wow, Harry, would you look at this?" she asked, trying not to sound teasing, as she gestured to a headline, "The dwarfs are plotting to take over the Ministry." Her eyes sparkled with mirth, but other than that, there was nothing to give away the fact that she wasn't completely serious.

Re: Meeting at The Hog's Head (Saturday; ISO: DA)
Saturday was the least strenuous days of the week. Saturday meant that Mae could just chill out and take really long naps. She’d stay in the Gryffindor common room in her muggle clothing, and no one that wasn’t a Gryffindor could bother her. That meant no Jess and no Nott smelling up the place, as he was prone to do because apparently he had something against taking showers. But no, she wouldn’t have to worry about Jess inability to not flirt and Nott’s stinkiness. Today, all that was left to do was lay around, be lazy, and stare at the paintings as they yammered on about nothing that particularly concerned her.

At this point, one would consider what the hell were they doing with their life if they were just sitting and staring at paintings. Truly a sad display. Mae sat up and let out a long, drawn out sigh. Well, you could always go to that meeting. She told herself. She rolled her eyes, because she couldn’t be arsed to move.

It’s either this or staring at paintings for a few hours. Do you really want to listen to what paintings have to talk about? “Fine,” She said to no one in particular as she thrust herself out of her comfortable resting space that was the floor. She stretched and groaned, gathering up her cloak and tossing it around her shoulders. And now Mae was out of the portrait hole, looking this way and that (had to watch out for Jess!) before making her way to Hogsmeade.

It wasn’t long before she was there, braving the cold and glaring at people who kept bumping into her. Honestly, does anyone possess manners anymore? she wondered, as she pushed open the door that lead to the inside of Hogshead. Her brown eyes searched the room until they landed on three people. Two from her own house and Luna Lovegood. Mae smiled as she made her way over, pulling out a seat with her foot and sitting down. “Yo.”
