Appearance: Maylee was blessed with good looks, inherited from her Asian Mother. She has sleek black hair which is shoulder length but has started growing at an alarming rate. She has quite defined bone structure on her face, and with quite high cheekbones and a light tan. She has quite large chestnut brown eyes, which most of her family have, once again inherited.
She has a small nose, which is in the middle of her face. She's usually always seen smiling, showing off her pearly whites which she keeps in pristine condition with lots of brushing and flossing. Though Maylee has had a knack for getting her hair colour changed to purple, she currently has it in its normal form black. She loves her purple hair and always changes its colour with Witch Hair Dye, Maylee's hair colour can sometimes show her obvious emotions as she will change it to an obvious greyish - brownish colour if she's upset/depressed and then when she's happy again she will change it back. She brings plenty of supplies with her too keep her hair looking nice and obviously brings lots of hair dye.
She's medium height for ages standing at 5' 6, though she feels small and stumpy at times. Her build is more slim than anything else, with an athletic figure because of all the Quidditch she plays and also a Muggle Sport called Soccer. She has lots of small scars on her legs, which she got for a wearing shorts and falling off the back of a broom, though her brother has always denied pushing her off, she believes there's no smoke without fire.
She has quite large full lips, which of course she got from her mothers side. Maylee doesn't wear alot of make up, well there are some exceptions, Maylee will always get "glamed" up, if there's a ball coming up.
She's most usually seen in robes of pastel colours or the usual black. Though she has been known to wear deep violet, on emo days, when she's in school she's always seen in black Ravenclaw robes. She wears a fair amount of jewellery, including a pendant given to her by her mother, a sapphire ring that was sent to her, when she got sorted into Ravenclaw and some other pieces of jewellery mixed and matched on her wrists.
Personality: Maylee's personality can be a little on the confusing side, as she can get upset very easily, though through the holidays has tried to put a lid on emotions and her very explosive temper. Usually friendly and beaming, she can be one of the nicest and most cheerful people you will meet, but that's on a good day. She loves to read, and this has caused alot of people's annoyance as she can come across bossy and a know-it-all.
She has suddenly become a slight teachers pet, as she wants to be a prefect very much. Though she does enjoy the odd adventure and fun, and loves to have parties, because she's always happy when there's a party. She's also very protective over people she loves and cares about, often putting others before herself, which sometimes is bad because some people wouldn't do the same for her and can end being hurt by what she has done. Very loyal to the people she calls friends and would take the knack for someone else's misbehaviour, which has earned several detentions in the past, though she hates to be treated like a scape goat.
Quiet and shy, that is pretty much her overall personality, she does have wild moments and hyperness, which she mildly enjoys. Can be easily offended by what people say, and is very much against the dark arts though she is a Pure-Blood witch, she believes that Muggle-Borns should be treated the same way as Pure-Bloods. She also hates racial discrimination and bullying of any sort, she believes people who do it are just insecure about themselves and need to make others feel bad, for them to feel good.
Can be very outspoken, usually in arguments and will always put her point down first making sure people understand where she's coming from.
She feels afraid of the future, scared what happened in the past would happen once again in the future.
Her father has a very different opinion to his only daughter, he believes that Muggle-Borns and Muggles are weak, and that Pure-Blood is the only real wizard blood line. Maylee despises her father for thinking that, though her family is nothing to do with death eaters or the dark arts but she's sure what would happen if the wizard war became worse. She's not very thick-skinned and can take criticism very badly, often making her upset and making her believe that her work isn't good enough.
Maylee is always out and about, she loves animals and nature. Often spending days outdoors watching the clouds or on the grounds. When she's at home, she usually watches the stars from her bedroom window. Though Astronomy isn't one of her strong points, she loves the mystery about the stars and space.
She also loves to learn about Muggles, they usually puzzle her but when she's at Diagon Alley with her parents, she will go straight to Flourish and Blotts and pick up a few books on Muggles. She's a complete bookworm, who will spend all day reading hard back copies of 'A complete guide to Charms, Counter Curses, Jinxes and Hexes, Volume 3'.
She often has moments where she will just sit and be silent, having a pleasant daydream. She's the dreamer type, and will often get lost in thought at the wrong moment, sometimes in classes. Though most of her flaws she has neatened up slightly by trying to pay more attention in class and taking some criticism in a positive way, to improve her work.
History: Maylee was born on the 21st of February 1982, to Chariya and Micheal Lovegood who had married 4 years previously. She had one older brother Christopher and he would often play Quidditch with Maylee during the summer. Maylee wasn't exactly born into a life of luxury but her parents had a fair bit of money, due to the fact that her Grandad was a well known Defence against the Dark Arts Professor at Durmstrang, he left all his money to his only son Micheal. Maylee's father met Chariya, while he was in Thailand, on a holiday. She spoke perfect English and they fell in love, several months later they got married and one year into their marriage, they had a son Christopher Lovegood.
As a child Maylee would often read books that weren't made for her age group, she would be seen with her nose in 'So you think your know Quidditch?' at the age of eight and that book was a hard back book with well over 300 pages. Maylee got more and more involved with Quidditch as she grew up, getting her first broom at the age of 6 though it didn't go very fast or very high for that matter. Up until quite recently she had a nimbus 2001, until when her 15th Birthday came and she received a Firebolt from her parents, so Maylee was pretty much estastic.
When Maylee turned a 11, a letter arrived at the house, addressed to her personally. As she opened it, she felt a warm, fuzzy feeling in that stomach and she still gets that feeling often. Her parents were very happy for their daughter, and she began packing the same day as she got her letter, as she was excited but she knew it would be a while before she would go. Her parents talked for a long while about the school and other things, that her father was sure that she deserved to know. Maylee only found out that her father was a Healer working for St. Mungo's, a few weeks after she had her letter, her father didn't think that she would want to know, where he worked.
During the middle of August in 1993, Maylee went to Diagon Alley to pick up her supplies for school, her brother also bought her a Snowy Owl which she named Clio. During Christopher's years at Hogwarts, he became Gryffindor Prefect and in his last year, Head Boy. Maylee hoped to follow in his footsteps and become a prefect and maybe in her 7th Year, Head Girl. As usual she got a few more books than what was written down on the letter, she said it was for 'light reading', but light reading to her is totally different to Light Reading to other wizards.
So on the first of September, her parents took her down to London, to catch the Hogwarts Express. She had felt very odd after running through the wall, as it wasn't something she had done before. As she waved good bye to her parents, Maylee and her Brother entered the train. He found a compartment for her and told her he would be sitting in a compartment with his friends, the last compartment on the right. So Maylee sat alone, hoping that someone would come and sit by her, though she waited for ages but no one came.
She clearly remembers her sorting as 'The Sorting Hat' said she should be in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw, but she felt pleasantly surprised when she was placed in Ravenclaw. Her first few years, where you usually spent reading up on some famous Witch or Wizard, in the school library and she sometimes got time, to read up on Muggles. Though through Hogwarts her favourite subject has always been Charms, though she also enjoys Defence against the Dark Arts and Transfiguration. Now she has quite a large group of friends, and has also met someone people who are very 'brave' in her eyes.
She's a fifth year now, and has always had one strong goal to play for House Quidditch Team and become a Prefect in this year or the years to follow. She also has noticed that her fifth year is her O.W.L's year so she is especially looking forward to that but she's just waiting to see what will happen in her first few weeks.

Role play sample: Maylee sat alone in a compartment, her small hands grasped her cold pendant. She turned towards the window, and watched as the English Countryside quickly whizzed past.
"I hate being alone" she muttered to herself, it was just her luck to be sitting in a compartment, off to a new place that she had never been to before and she was alone.
She grabbed her small bag which was lying in a lump next to her on the red velvety seat, her hand delved deep into it, she pulled her book out, after a few seconds of vigorous searching. She turned the book on its side and read the spine 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'. She turned the front cover, and sped through the writing, slowing down to read up on Unicorns for several minutes, their beauty fascinated her. She hoped that she would see some real unicorns at Hogwarts, her brother had told her about the Forbidden Forest, 'Maybe they are in there' she thought to herself.
She closed the book, as she heard the train slowing down, maybe they had arrived at their destination or maybe there was an accident. She titled her head towards the window, the sky was now beginning to get darker. Her eyes quickly darted to the compartment door as it slid open, there stood a boy in Black Gryffindor Robes and he had some sort of badge pinned to the front "Hello Maylee, see you don't have any company, you better be changing into your robes, we will be getting off soon" said Christopher, who quickly smiled then closed the compartment door.
Maylee sighed a heavy sound of relief, they had finally got there and she could feel her heart pumping like mad, she thought it might pop out. As she took her robes and changed, she could hear the echo of footsteps as people began to leave the train. Maylee got out of her seat, picked up the lump which was her bag and slid open the compartment door. She could see many students all with huge grins on their faces, 'They look happy' she thought to herself, she quickly followed a group of small, timid looking children out from the train. She was not sure what would happen in her first year at Hogwarts but she hoped what ever would happen, wouldn't be bad.
