Make-up Tips and Tricks
Make-up Tips To Help Flaws

Lighter Shades can be used to hide dark circles under the eyes, but largely lighter colors are used to accentuate the attractive areas of the face. A slightly darker color can help to hide facial flaws or draw attention away from facial flaws.

For The Nose
* To make the nose look longer hightlight, with a lighter color down the center of the nose, and on the tip of the nose.

* To make the nose look look shorter, put a darker color on the tip of the nose and between the lip and nose, blend.

* To make the nose look wider, put a lighter color down the center of the nose and blend into make-up.

For the Eyes
*To make the eyes look wider extend eyeshadow beyond the corners of the eyes.

* To add depth and make eyes look farther apart, add a touch of eye shadow with a large make-up brush, and dusting off all but a tiny bit of a light eyeshadow, giving a color glow around the eyes below, above and to slightiy to the side of the eye.

For Sunken Eyes
*Do not use eyeshadow near temples or on the inside of the eyes.

Sunken Eyes
Are often a result of the corrigator muscle and the palepebial ligmament not supporting the skin of the eyes properly. The result is eyes look small and skin folds into crevices above the eyes. Sometimes the shape of the bone above the eyes has something to do with the situation. However, building the muscles around the eyes works much like filling a tire with air elevating the skin and giving the eyes a fuller look and elevating the skin around the eyes so that skin does not fold into deep crevices.

MORE Make-up Tips and Tricks
I am sure that most of you have already heard these, but I thought I would go ahead and share some tricks that I learned on my trips to New York.

1) Use your lip brush to apply lipstick as an eyeliner to give you a perfectly matched lip/eye effect.

2) Dab concealer over your eyelids and lips before applying your shadow and lipstick to give provide a longer lasting color that is more true to shade.

3) Apply facial moisturizers using upward strokes so that they will absorb into your skin. Apply cosmetics in a downward fashion, so they won't clog your pores.

4) Use a light cream color shadow under your brows and on the corners of your eyes to open them up and make them appear larger.

5) Use a clear lipliner all over your lips so that your color won't bleed and so that you don't need a special liner for every shade of lipstick.

I am sure that I have many more that I just can't think of right now, so I will post again soon!

Best wishes,
