Love Letters: Thundera
Hullo, Kitra.
I'm writing to see if you made it home safely. How is everyone? Mama Kitty doesn't seem to be doing well. She's been very depressed lately. She's been living at the Omni since Mum kicked her out. I go see her from time to time.
Mum's been flipping out cuz she hasn't gotten a letter from Dad in a while. Her letter that she wrote him got returned with a message saying he's no longer at Penal Planet Ten. We have no idea where he's been moved.
As for me, I'm doing ok I guess. Fortunately all this craziness hasn't affected my business in a negative way. In fact, my friends and customers have been quite supportive so far.
I'd like to thank you for you support during this whole trial thing. You're such a good friend and I appreciate all you've done. If you ever need me to do anything for you, you won't have to ask me twice. Just name it and I'll do it.

Yes, I got back to Thundera safely. I'm sorry to hear about Endora. After that bastard was caught, she explained everything to us. Well, I was kind of surprised at her being involved with someone who's willing to protect such a monster, but after all Endora's been through... And as to your mother...no offense, Daymie, but she doesn't deserve someone like Endora. You have to understand something; Endora was hurt very badly before she left Thundera and it all has to do with the conquest. I thought she could get over all of that with your mom, but obviously I was wrong.
Most of the other ThunderCats are surprised that Endora's alive. The next time you go see Endora, could you tell her that Lyna sends her regards? She's been worried about Endora since we left Limbo. She and Stalker even postponed their wedding! Also, if Endora wants, she's welcome back to Cat's Lair and her duties as a ThunderCat. She's been the best of us...
And don't worry so much about your dad being moved; from what we've seen at the trial, I think it's obvious why he was transfered in the first place. By Jaga, I've heard of holding a grudge, but this is mad! I'm surprised he wasn't taken straight to the execution chamber when he was caught, but the law's the law. If you want, I could find out where he's being held now. I have an old friend in the evil chasing business.
I'm glad to hear you're doing okay, despite what's happened. And I'll keep in touch whenever possible. My brother thinks I'm crazy for doing that, but you've been a good friend and I'm so sorry all of this had to happen to you.

Dear Kit,
I gave Mama Kitty your meassage. She said she plans on moving to Thundera as soon as she gets her half of the bounty. I asked her about her life before she came to Limbo. She told me very little. She told me someone named Panthro was her mate. She didn't say what happened to him though. I get the feeling he died, but I'm not sure. I didn't pry because she didn't seem to want to discuss him much.
As for my Mum, I think she's just very confused. My Dad has always seemed to have a hold on her emotionally. She was always trying to please him and all, eventhough he did whatever and whoever he damn well pleased. I didn't have any idea how he had been treating my Mum until I was about ten. Fortunately, mama Kitty was there to pick up the pieces. I'm still not sure how Mum and Dad ended up back together. I could see that Mum did love Whisper for all that time, and vice versa. As you can see, it's all one big mess. And to top it all off, I love all three of them.
Anyway, I've been meaning to discuss something with you. I get the feeling your brother doesn't like me much. Any reason why? I hope it doesn't have anything to do with my Dad. But that's nothing new. I've been getting mistreated because of his reputation since I was thirteen. It's a long story. Maybe I'll tell you about it someday.

About Endora...I don't know if I should tell you this, but I trust you. Yes, Panthro did die, like all the other ThunderCats except for Endora, me and my brother. It was when Thundera was first conquered by a demon priest named Gen-Ta. Kat and I were on a training mission with the current ThunderCats, back then recruits. Well, Stalker wasn't with us, but that's another story. Anyways, I had thought Kat and I were the only survivors until we ran into Endora during our trip to Limbo. I found out Gen-Ta...violated her in front of Panthro before he died and the bastard kept Endora as his personal pet until she finally escaped. I had asked Endora if I could fix her up with someone, and she said to give her time to get over Eliza, but no men. I guess Gen-Ta hurt her a lot more than I thought. He even stole her loyalty necklace! By Jaga, what I wouldn't give to strangle that snake!
And as to your parents, I think you're right; Dragor does have some sort of hold on your mom, but she doesn't realize that. I guess he wasn't called the Saurian Cassanova for nothing. I'm just grateful he didn't hurt Endora like Gen-Ta did.
Well, I got monitor duty in a minute, so I'll finish this up. Laterz.

Hullo, Kitra my friend.
Good news. Mum finally got a letter from Dad. Now maybe she’ll calm down a bit. Mum tells me Dad is leaving me his space Harley and his aerie. Whooppe. I’m so thrilled. I told Mum I want nothing to do with that sh*t right now. (Please excuse my language.) Looks like Dad’s accepted his fate if he’s already bequeathing stuff to me. Oh, well.
Anyway, I’m sure Mama Kitty has told you she’s on her way to Thundera. I’m going to miss her so much. I pray everything goes well with her. She crossed paths with Mum at the club Whisper used to work at. Mum wouldn’t speak to her. That seemed to really upset her. At least she had something positive happen before she left. Mama Kitty was a volunteer at the Weeping Falls School for the Hearing Impaired. They had a banquet honoring her for her work. I attended the banquet. It was stellar! The kids gave her a pile of cards and going away gifts. Whisper cried, but I’m sure they were tears of joy. Tell her to contact me as soon as she gets there. And tell Queen Lyna I received the wedding invitation and I plan on attending.
Things have yet to die down here in Limbo regarding my father. He face is plastered on just about every newspaper and tabloid you can find. I’m really getting sick of it. Everyday I’ve been getting calls from the media for interviews. Why did Dad have to mention me on the stand? Augh! Also, someone vandalized my store! Spray painted all kinds of vulgar things all over it! It’s going to cost me hundreds of credits to get that stuff taken off. Could my life get any worse?
Anywho, I miss hanging out with you , Kit. I’ve got to hand it to ya. You are pretty cool. Very down to earth. I hope to be able to spend time with you again. It probably won’t be any time soon because of all this craziness.

Endora wrote to us and told us she was returning. I'm so glad to hear you're attending the wedding, but you'll have to RSVP anyway so you could be added on the guest list. Sorry to hear about your store; if you want, I'll lend you the money to get that vandalism removed. And relax, things could be worse. At least no one attacked you or any of that crud.
Me, down to earth? Now there's something I haven't described myself as. In our childhood days, Kat and I were the bane of the ThunderCats. We weren't evil, but we were very mischevious. Master tricksters, they used to call us. We still have some of our old tricks up our sleeves and we still come up with new ones.
How's your aunt Pterra doing? I heard she's staying in Limbo despite everything that's happened. At least I finally understand some of the stuff she's done. Rakuna's doing rather well on his probation. He's really making up for all the wrongs he did. I've never seen Weasel so happy before. Those two really are like brothers. I hope to see you again, soon; it may be a while, but it's better than never.

How’s it going? My Aunt Pterra is doing ok, but she told me she’s been thinking about getting therapy. She’s been through a whole lot as you know. I’m going to visit my Dad soon. Mum told me he said he wants to talk to me about something. She didn’t say what though.
Speaking of my Mum, I think she’s losing her mind. She went and got a tattoo. She even showed it to me. It’s a purple dragon clutching a heart with Dad’s name in the center. She also got something pierced. I’m not going to say what. Let's put it this way. It's on the lower part of her body. Yeah, that part. When I asked her why she did that to her body, she told me it was to make her first conjugal visit with Dad more interesting. Okay…I’m going to leave that alone.
I got my Dad’s Nebula Burner. It’s a pretty good ride, but it feels weird to be riding it. He never let anyone touch his bike except for when Mum would ride with him or if he was getting it fixed. I only ride it every once in a while. I try not to, because it reminds me of Dad and I start to miss him.
Kit, I have a little vacation time coming up, and I was wondering if you’d like to come visit so we can hang out. If you don’t have the time I’ll understand. I want to talk to you about something face to face. I’m assuming you know about Lyna and Stalker joining the IRC. It’s good to have even more friends in the organization. If you’re interested in joining just let me know. You don’t have to be of mixed heritage to join, you know.

Dear Damian,
I'd love to hang out, but my duties make it hard for me to get any vacation time, if at all. I'm sorry; I hope that whatever you want to discuss with me in person can wait until the wedding, or at least if you ever decide to visit Thundera.
Know about Lyna and Stalker joining the IRC? She's been talking about it non-stop since we got back from that treaty signing. She's very sensitive when it comes to her mixed lineage and it's good that she's meets others who face similar worries. Stalker's just glad he can make a difference through this organization and he's made a new friend. I think it was that SilverHawk who was with that lady when they talked about the IRC, but I forget who. All of the ThunderCats are seriously considering joining the IRC.
I pray that your visit with your dad goes well.

Guess how I spent my weekend? Cleaning my store with a pressure washer! Oh, fun! It wasn't too bad. Aunt Pterra helped me out with that so it didn't take too long. It was obvious the vandal was one of his big fans. I also went to visit Dad. I told him about Aunte Pterra and the conversation I had with my grandparents. Boy was he pissed! Said he didn't want to see my back stabbing face again. I'm sure he didn't mean that. Oh, well. He'll get over it.
Anyway, I'm kind of disappointed that you couldn't come hang out with me. But I do have good news. You probably already know about Queen Lyna inviting me to become part of her court. It was an honor to be asked I tell ya. I told her I would as soon as I have enough money to move to Thundera. It'll be a while before I do that though. Gotta settle some business here in Limbo first. By the way, I think I know who's Stalker's new friend is. Sounds like you're talking about Leo.
Since I don't know when I will see you again I might as well tell you what I wanted to say face to face. I really like you Kitra. I really enjoy being around you. You're very thoughtful, intelligent, and fun. You're about the only person I know besides Aunt Zan who can beat me at Bloodsuckers 3. I also think you're...kind of cute. I was wondering if there was some remote chance of us getting to know each other a little better. If not, that's fine with me. You'll always be my friend.

It sounds like you have romantic feelings for me. I must admit, I am surprised. I'm old enough to be your big sister. Nonetheless, I am flattered. You're not so bad yourself and I know you to be a saint. Now, I don't want to rush into anything, but I do want us to get to know each other better. Let's just keep this from my brother until it becomes serious, okay?
Leo...I think that was his name. Yea, that human in the golden flame-like armor with the red stone on his forehead. Any chance you can tell me more about him? I'd ask Stalker, but he's too busy with Lyna trying to get her Third Earth relatives to Thundera for the wedding. I hope I'll see you soon.

You want to know a little about Leo? Well, he's half Mykari, half human. He's in charge of planning and coordinating all the major activities involving the IRC. Right now, he's planning a production of an old musical called The Wiz to raise money for the college fund. The production team is working on the casting. I think I might audition to be a flying monkey, or I could play in the orchestra. Either way I think it'll be fun. It's scheduled to debut next fall on Bedlama. I hope you'll be able to come see it. If not, you could purchase a holovid, or even a music disc. You should hear Lady Detia and Leo sing. They are very talented.
As for my feelings about you...I was attracted to you when I first saw you at the Omni. I was just too shy to tell you at first. I wanted to tell you while you were with me during Dad's trial, but I hadn't worked up enough confidence. On top of that, I was going through a lot of stress. I do want to learn more about you. What you like, what you don't like. About your past and your hopes and dreams. How about you? What would you like to know about me?
As for Katran, I'm not saying a word to him about this. I'll leave that up to you. Hopefully by then he'll have come around.

So far, Leo sounds like a great person. In my opinion, I'd think you'd be better off in the orchestra. But I think your new bike would make a good prop. Let's see...what I'm like. Well, I've been with the ThunderCats since I was little, was known as a master trickster alongside my brother (we're still considered tricksters today) and I always hope for the Code of Thundera to spread its value all over the universe. I usually dream for intergalatic peace. What about you? What are your hopes and dreams?
I kinda like you, too. You're very sensitive and everything. I really hope we can learn more about each other. We'll just have to wait and see.

My dream is for people to accept me for who I am, instead of basing thier opinion of me on who my father is. Don't get me wrong. I love my father very much. I just don't approve of how he acts and the terrible things he has done.
As for my past, I was known as the quiet, wierd looking one. You see I grew up in a Vampire Communitey. I know I'm half Vamp, but on the outside I look more Saurian. I got picked on a lot when I was a child, especially by other boys. When I got to be around 13, girls started to like me. I was too shy to start dating, but there was one girl I liked. Her name was Andrea. Well, I liked her until she got me in serious trouble. What she did to me combined with my Dad's reputation caused me a lot of problems for quite some time.
As for what I'm like...well, you know I'm kind of shy. I'm told I take after my mother personality wise. She was very shy when she was my age. I know she's not shy anymore. She told me she's going to pose for some adult magazine. Oh, great, now the whole universe is going to be able to see my Mum naked! *Sigh* Why me?
Anyway, I really hope I get to see you again soon, Kitra. I miss seeing your pretty face.

Stop saying I'm pretty! You're making me blush! I think I can understand where you're coming from, though; Stalker used to have similar problems back on Plunn-Dar. At least, that's what I heard. Being half-mutant and half-Thunderian doesn't exactly make you very popular there, espeically when you were an orphan and considered an illegit. He told me he owes his very life to a compassionate mutant called Mack, but something happened to him. Rakuna told us he was raised by the same mutant, who was exiled from Plunn-Dar and currently settled in Limbo. He won't say what he's doing now, but I'm sure he has his reasons.
Sorry about that slag from thirteen; kids can be so cruel. And as for your mom...wow, an adult magazine. How...interesting. Oh, don't tell anyone this, but you won't believe what I've discovered here! I was heading towards the training room when I pass Weasel's quarters. The door was open, so I took a look around. I knew Weasel was out, and that I shouldn't be barging in, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to look. That's all I did was look, mind you. From the corridor. On the desk, I saw something that looked like a loyalty necklace. Those are the standard engagement/wedding emblems on Thundera. The single heart charm stands for betrothal. A double heart (two heart charms intertwined) stands for marriage. I'm guessing things between he and Kara are going to get pretty serious soon, but Jaga knows I'm not going to say anything, and neither are you.
I miss seeing your pretty face, too. Heh. Now it's your turn to blush.

I finally told my mum about my feelings for you. She said she thinks you’re too old for me. I obviously disagree. I have something I want to tell you, Kit. I’m falling in love with you. Mum says it might be just infatuation, but I don’t think so. I think about you all the time. I wonder if you’re thinking of me. I also think about how dangerous your duties can be. If anything ever happened to you I don’t know what I’d do. You are a beautiful person, within and without. I don’t know about you, but I wish I could be by your side every night. I know you probably think I’m moving too fast, but I felt I had to be honest with you about how I feel. I love you , Kitra. And I’m not just saying that. I really mean it. I hope so much that you feel the same way about me. If not, I’ll just have to deal with that. If you need more time to be sure of your feelings, I’m willing to wait.

Yes, I do think you're moving too fast, but I can understand your feelings and appreciate your honesty. You almost remind me of Panthro when he started falling for Endora. He told her his feelings point blank and didn't care about the consequences. In turn, she pushed him away because of our duties. We do take a lot of risks, but it's worth the good we do. Endora didn't return Panthro's feelings until a mission came up. I remember me, Endora, Panthro and Pumyra were in the Thundertank scouting for mutants in the field. A group of armed mutants attacked us. Pumyra, Endora and I took on the ones who left their vehicle while Panthro started playing chicken with the ones in the Mu-Tank. What happened was that Endora got knocked into the path of the two colliding vehicles and what did Panthro do? Hop out of the Thundertank-while it's moving-scooped up Endora and both tanks were scrap. After we took care of the mutants, Endora asked Panthro why he saved her when he could've stopped his tank from getting wrecked (Panthro was over his tank kinda like your dad was over his bike) and Panthro replied, 'It's a whole lot easier losing the Thundertank than losing you, Endora' and they've been together since. Months later, Panthro got some gold from Third Earthh, made a loylaty necklace with an engraving in the heart charm, and asked Endora to be his mate. By Jaga, that was such a wonderful time. Those two were the happiest ever.
I have the same feelings for you, Damian. You're such a wonderful man inside and out. I don't care if you are younger than me so long as you're nice (being an adult yourself helps, too) and respect my feelings. I hope we can discuss more of this when you arrive at Thundera.

I've decided to take some time off and come see you. I miss you so much. I know Lyna and Stalker's wedding is coming up soon, but I want to come a little earlier. There has been something I've been wanting to tell you. As I told you before I've never really dated before I met you. You're the only real girlfriend I've ever had. Now how can I put this? Ah, well. I might as be straight about it. I'm a virgin. Never been with a woman in my life. And the little experience I had with Andrea was unpleasant to say the least. I wanted you to know that when I do have my first time, whenever that may be, I would like it to be with you. That honest enough for you? *sigh* Boy it's good to have that off my chest. I'll be seeing you soon (unless this letter scared you off that is.)

As you can already see, your last letter did not scare me off. I'm really glad you're honest; not many males will admit their virginity. Besides, you're not the only one. In all my years, I've never let anyone touch me or have me in a sexual manner. Those who came close were either rapists or got scared of Katran. He's been a little overprotective of me since puberty.
I'm so glad you'll be coming early; it'll give you time to look over Thundera and perhaps I can show you around a little. We definetely need to talk more about where this is going. I also want you to be here when we both tell Kat about us. If he gives you a hard time, you have my permission to hurt him (so long as he lives, that is).

I really enjoyed that visit. Thundera is a beautiful planet, from what I've seen so far. Of course, it's a different point of view when you've seen everything at night. I wish I could have stayed until the wedding but had to go see my Mum and visit Dad. I'll be back soon, though. How's Katran doing? He seemd a little astounded by our news. Heh, imagine if we had told him what we did the night before! Speaking of which, how do you feel about what happened between us that night? I really didn't expect it to happen so soon and that way, but at the time it seemed so right. I know I've told you before that you're very beautiful, but now I know it for sure. Kit, I can't tell you in words how special you are to me or how much I love you. I'll return to you and for the wedding very soon. I love you with all my heart.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit. Think Thundera's pretty now, wait until it's completely rebuilt. Kat is...undergoing some difficulty in processing the information we gave him. I also think he has an idea on what went on between us. He is my twin, after all (but those extra ten minutes give him senority. How great.) But what we did was the best thing that ever happened to me. Made me wonder why I waited so long! But next time, we either have to do this elsewhere or be a little quieter. The next morning, Rakuna and Weasel were giving me strange looks. Oops! I forgot their implants gave them sensitive hearing. Plus, Tygris is a telepath and he sorta picked up my thoughts when I was thinking of you. At least I know those three can mind their own business. Imagine if Cougari found out about our time. His mouth runs faster than he does!
Okay, back to serious business. You were so handsome and gentle that night. I know from observation that love works in strange ways. I'll be looking forward to when you come to the wedding.

I don't regret waiting so long. I wanted my first time to be with someone very special. I also didn't want a one night stand...so I really look forward to doing it again.
I have something to ask you though. Did you know anything about Mama Kitty contacting my Mum? Mum told me she's been doing that a lot the past couple weeks. I had really hoped Whisper would be over Mum by now. She must really be in love. I think Mum still has feelings for her but just won't admit it. Dad seemed a bit depressed when I went to see him. I have an idea why. Tell the others I'll be back just intime for the wedding. Maybe we can continue what we started last time after the ceremony. And thank Lyna and Stalker for having the wedding at night. Most day dwellers don't consider that when dealing with Vamps. I'm on my way, Kitra, dear. I'll have you in my arms again, soon.
