That's true, Cathy. I have always been a loner, when it comes to making something....don't know why!!!
Thankys for the link, Sandi.........I was looking for one like that......want to make a quilt for my bed. I had a link to such a place, but forgot to save it when I changed ISP's.
Ex:31:3 " And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship"
I like to make the tops, but not good at handquilting it together..so I will use the machine when possible....I have all kinds of material..I am a material holic...I just don't have enough money to get all I want...I am setting up a sewing room...that way I can just shut the door when I am through...

I was setting up a sewing room too, if the machine is set up ready to go, I'm more apt to use it.........LOL
plus I could close the door on the mess. But my sweet little gransdon took over that room........it's full of his toys and that's where he sleeps when he sleeps over.......so never mind the pins and needles in there......LOL
Money is my biggest hold back too.....no matter whether you buyit ready made or make it.........it costs money!!!!!!!! So I just work on my gourds....have lots of those dried and ready to soak, scrape, clean.....ect., then on to the fun stuff.........turning them into pretty bowls!!!!
I know what you mean about the material holic. I have one in my family too. she cannot get enough. I think it may be a disease.
I loved the quilt site. Isn't that the neatest. A person can find some great patterns over there and lots of tips. My daughter is the quiltmaker. But I love them. I realy liked the Monkey Wrench one it was very cool.

Yeah, Patty......maybe if I get the chance and material, I will make a quilt this winter for my bed. I have been wanting to, but need a motor for my old singer. It's the only one that Ican machine quilt with and as far as I'm concerned..that's the only way to do it. There are few ladies that get together to do a quilt anymore and that's too bad. This fast paced life has taken a lot of the charm out of such things........sigh!!!! Guess I was born about 100 years to late. Well maybe not, I like the washing maching, vacuum cleaner, ect.......................LOL

Re: Links to quilts..
I was looking around this morning for free quilt patterns and found a site that has over 500 sites that offer free patterns.
The ones I check out look great.

Welcome to Crafters Retreat, Susan. Hope you will return, often and share with us.
I know the board has been a bit slow...I have been offline for a bit.
