Re: Level 1 and 2 OPA--Mississauga
kick butt christine. i wish i had your will power and guts to compete. im very shy and don't think i could do it. i'll keep dreaming thoughEdited by: buffone at: 12/4/06 6:05 am
Re: Level 1 and 2 OPA--Mississauga
buffone : you know I never had the drive or discipline required to compete. Only two years ago i stood at 5'4 and weighed 190lbs...no not of muscle of fat! If it is a real dream of yours you can do it! With the proper knowledge and help any dream is possible. I will leave you with this thought " when you know what you want, and you want it badly enough, you'll find a way to get it."
Thanks for cheering me on...as the days come closer i get more excited and nervous
Re: Level 1 and 2 OPA--Mississauga
Christine, since you are competing at this show, could you fill us in on some of the details for the show: location, times and so on (and about the exclusion of the black prelim)? That would be great if you could. Give us as many details as possible so anyone going or competing will be up to date
Thanks

Re: Level 1 and 2 OPA--Mississauga
Hi Everyone. I have just moved from overseas to Oakville and I want to compete in my first figure competiton on 25 November 2006. I have been wondering how to get in contact with local people who are competing and I came across this forum and it's AWESOME!!!
I am going to watch the competition in Mississauga on 27 May and I would really like to meet some of you. Any information you can give me regarding who to contact about posing routines, where you get your costumes etc would be very much appreciated.
I'm sooooooooooo happy I found this site. Good luck to all of you who are competing
Re: Level 1 and 2 OPA--Mississauga
welcome to the forum! Oh, and the country I guess. It seems like coming across this forum was a stroke of luck for you. If the show you are thinking about doing is the one in Brantford that was the first show and WIN for Lori-Ann. If you are looking for people to get you ready for the show, well here we are.
Lori-Ann and I will cover every aspect of the show that you are talking about. We will work with your diet and training as well as posing and Lori-Ann will take you to the best suit maker in the country!
We are working with another girl right now who will be in that show, it is going to be an uphill battle for her as she has to rehab a badly blown knee. You will see one of our "Team Emerge" members at the Mississauga show, Kelly, who just won the Masters and Medium class in Stratford her first time out.
The level of detail and support given by us is unsurpassed in the industry. We are a one stop shop for everything you will need from stage presentation to nutrition and supplementation. We are there through every step of the process including being by your side on the day of the show. Kelly is proof of that, with no prior experience and the look of a seasoned competitor on stage at her first show.
Lucky you, you live in Oakville, about 15 minutes drive from my gym so meeting in person will be very easy! You can post a reply here and/or email me at darrin@timetoemerge.com. If you are serious about competing and want to win, join a proven winning team, Team Emerge.
Re: Level 1 and 2 OPA--Mississauga
Hi Darrin just before reading your post here, I had sent you an email asking you for some information on your services and pricing because I really want to get started and hopefully I'll be able to afford it. I've also replied to your post about the free on-line training.
I've just signed up with a gym in Oakville for 12 months so I wouldn't be able to train at your gym in Burlington so I was wondering if that would that be a problem?
Re: Level 1 and 2 OPA--Mississauga
I will check my email and get back to you with some numbers, however meeting in person will be better as I will get a better idea as far as what is going to be involved. The gym is a non issue, if you joined the GoodLife in Oakville you can train at my gym too, if not no worries. I can always work things out.
The online training I wanted to do with someone that lives far away, just so there are no issues with people thinking I might have worked with someone in person. Sorry.
