LOW AND HEAVY OR HIGH AND LIGHT??
Hi Lori Ann

Just wondering which you tend to adopt in your training. Do you find you get best results from lifting heavy with low reps or lighter with higher reps.

I find that with compound exercises I tend to see more gains lifting as heavy as possible for 5 reps with good form (and usually a touch from my spotter on the last set), but I usually do cutting exercises for 8 reps at more moderate weight.

When i say moderate though, i always ensure that the last couple of reps are a struggle to say the least!

Just interested to see what approach you adopt seeing as you look so DARNED good!!!!!

Re: LOW AND HEAVY OR HIGH AND LIGHT??
We train with heavy weight and low reps if i need to develop a lagging part (eg. legs) i'll aim for 6-8 reps. Then i'll tend to use moderate weight aiming between 8-10 reps for maintaining and refining my physique. For developing my delts i've always used heavy weights beginning with compound movements.

Re: LOW AND HEAVY OR HIGH AND LIGHT??
For me..upper body medium to heavy weight 6-15 reps. It all depends on how smashed I am from my other activities:\ Legs always light to medium...12-25 reps. By light I mean it is still pretty challenging..I probably start sucking it in by rep 13-14 and still have another 11-12 go...Basically I drop to floor after last rep:x
When I was getting ready for me BB comp I had thick mats ready for me at the end of the hall and practically fell on it after my last step:eek

Ciao
