**** LAYOUTLAND UPDATE ****
Hey all. So here's what's been happening with the site the past 2 weeks...

On May 26, my host shut down my site saying that the increased traffic for Memorial Day weekend was causing "stress" on their serves so they were moving my site to a different server. They promised it'd be back up by Monday.

Monday came, my site still wasn't back up, so I contacted support again. This time, I got an e-mail saying that the servers were still being updated, their office was being relocated, and some other crap.

I then decided to call their support line, and the secretary who answered said the support person stepped out for a half hour and would call me back. Never happened. I called today, and the same woman's voice said that all of the support staff were in a meeting and they would call be back in an hour. Never got a call back.

THEN, I find out that my host didn't renew my domain registration which expired in early May. I haveanother year (12 months) of hosting with this company, however this seems not to be the case.

Any legal action against this company is still in the air because they're located in Canada. And surprise surprise, the person who registered my domain immediately after it was available for public sale again because my host failed to pay the registration fees is from Canada also. And of course, what do they place on my site but a link to a sponsor's website so they can generate money from all of my traffic going to layoutland.com.

I've registered layoutland.net with a new host and I am in the process of getting everything setup. I've created a new, simple layout for my site and now I have to go through the very difficult and tedious task of switching every word on my site that said layoutland.com to now read layoutland.net. I'm pissed off, to say the least. I've lost hundreds of dollars just in revenue, not to mention the hours I've spent contacting their support and now the MANY more hours it will take to get this site back up and running.

I am truely sorry to every one of my visitors for this mess. Despite the mess and trouble all of this is causing, I promise layoutland.NET will be back up and running as soon as possible and it will be better than ever (I hope).

Please pass the word to everyone you know that the new and permanent address for layoutland will be LAYOUTLAND.NET. My new host is currently setting up my domain and once I recieve my FTP and other information, I will begin uploading everything back up.
