Katie Poll Over At PGP
There is a poll over at PGP that asks who Katie should be with Simon or Mike. If you haven't done so go over and vote. You have to be registered to vote.
True these polls don't mean anything but they are fun to do.
I'm waiting for my registration to kick in... I can't believe Mike is winning. That's just... well, it really boggles my mind. I can't help but wonder how many of the folks who voted for him were around for the first S&K storyline (the only one that counts in my mind). With everything these two have gone through to be together, even the "mistakes" that Simon made in the last return are not unforgivable, IMHO. I mean, Katie wasn't always upstanding in her actions when it came to trying to win Simon in the beginning--of all people she should understand what Simon must have felt like when he was so desperate to win her back.
Anyway, preaching to the choir, I know.
I'm really hoping Simon wins this poll. I couldn't bear it if Mike were to win. That would just be wrong on so many levels. To suggest that Mike could ever take the place of Simon is not even something I can consider!!

Here's the thing. A LOT of the Matie fans post on the PGP board. I'm sure that if the poll was posted on the SOC, Simon would win by a landslide. It's all a matter of where the poll is posted. Secondly, many of the Simon/SKatie fans left after PL left. Now, that they are coming back upon hearing the news of PL's return, they are becoming vocal again. I'm guessing when they left ATWT, they left the boards, too. Thirdly, if the newbies are voting for Matie, then they don't know much about Simon and SKatie. In their eyes, Simon is the bad guy. For us longtime viewers, we know that Simon is the hero and it's the writers who had to trash Simon and SKatie to justify Matie. So, I wouldn't worry about it. Think of it this way: Mark Collier and Paul Leyden's returns have released around the same time. Who's getting the most buzz? Paul Leyden, of course!

I was FINALLY able to log in, so I just voted .
Reading all of the "Mike, of course!" comments still disturbs me, though LOL. I know it's a pretty M&K heavy board, but still, it bothers me to see so much praise heaped on Mike and M&K. Don't get me wrong, of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I've got nothing but respect for them, but I do like to stay in my own safe little bubble when it comes to these things, so when I am forced to venture out of my bubble and see that in fact, M&K do have fans (*shudder*), it kind of traumatizes me .

Mike and Katie do have their fans but it doesn't even come close to the number of Skatie fans. On most boards with the exception of Terri Dot Net and over at PGP, all the other boards have the Skatie Majority of fans on it.
Plus Matie fans don't come to the number of Skatie Fan or Menn Fans.

Well, I know there are many Menn Fans. However, their couple doesn't involve Simon. It goes to show that SKatie was on its way to supercouple status. If PL stayed longer, they would have BECOME a supercouple. Well, in my heart, they ARE a supercouple. *sigh* SKatie.
