Reports say Phillips double legal limit

A spokesman for the New Jersey State Troopers confirmed that New York Met general manager Steve Phillips was arrested Thursday for suspicion of drunken driving.
The Mets front office man was stopped for speeding in his red 2001 Mercedes on Interstate 95 in Newark, NJ. He was subsequently administered a field sobriety test and the spokesman said he registered a reading higher than the state's .08 legal limit.
He would not confirm a published report that Phillip's blood alcohol level registered .19 or that it was measured at .20 in a second test at the Newark Medical Center.
Phillips could be subject to fine or suspension by Major League Baseball. There were two incidents this season, and one last year, when he received five stitches after falling and hitting his head on a dance floor in Greenwhich, CT. Phillips could not be reached for comment, as friends and family are concerned with his mental stability after a tirade in him Long Island home regarding fan disapproval with his managerial skills. In an unofficial poll, 89% of Mets fans want to see Phillips fired.

Can it be made any clearer that this man has to go???? The man is poison, pure POISON!!!!!!! To be quite honest, I don't recognize this team anymore. I don't even recognize the players I loved, and I think it started with him!!!

Actually Kevin, I think you should delete this. It isn't true. Someone took an article from ESPN.com and changed the names to Bobby V and Steve Phillips. So my bad, it's a false alarm. I still feel that the man is poison though.
