Copy and Paste this into a new thread, then fill it out to create a Character Profile. After that, an admin will give you a house, or ask you to change a couple of things if it's not quite right. Then you can start playing!
Note that you don't have to wait until we move the profile to "Profiles" to start posting. We will move it after you start posting, so that we can check that you are coming back.
A tip: characters who are more fleshed out at the profiles stage are easier to play. Try to write as much as you can, with lots of detail. It'll make it much easier for you later on. And remember, you can edit any time you like.

Name: (Fairly obvious.)
Gender: (Again, fairly obvious, but if in doubt, ask an admin.)
Age/year group: (A first year would be 11 or so.)
Position: (Student, teacher, nuisence...)
Appearance: (What do they look like? Include hair, eyes, build, skin, anything unusual.)
Background: (Where were they before they came to Hogwarts? You could include family, home, unusual things in their past. If you're playing an older student, you should include past school years too.)
Personality: (What is your character like? What are their quirks? What makes them tick?)
Skills and Likes: (What is your charcter good at? What do they enjoy?)
Weaknesses and Dislikes: (Everyone has them. This is a way to make your character more interesting.)
Pet(s): (What species, colour, how did you get it? If you've brought it with you, let's hope it fits into school guidlines, or your character could be in trouble. This isn't compulsary.)
Anything else: (Absolutly anything that doesn't fit into an above catagory.)
House: (Leave this blank if you're just joining, and edit it once an admin sorts you.)
